On the death of Ezza North Ebubeagu Commander, late Magnus Iganga, people openly discussed the circumstances that possibly orchestrated to his killing and zeroed it to leadership tussle. Before Late Magnus Iganga became Ebubeagu Commander there was a mafia group existing in Nwachi Umuezeoka Community in Ezza North which Iganga himself was obedient to. The Mafia Lord controlled the happenstances in the area, particularly political. The Mafia group despised the current Chairman/Chairperson of Ezza North LGA, Madam Norah Oluchi Alo who also is from Umuezeoka community.
The Ezza North boss agreed with the Mafia lord to be allowed to rule the LGA peacefully in return she pays them three million naira [#3000000] monthly. In spite of the booty the Mafia still give Madam Norah Oluchi Alo conditions for her activities which she does not like but had no option. When former governor David Umahi constituted Ebubeagu security outfit late Magnus Iganga was personally chosen by Madam Norah Oluchi Alo to command Ezza North with specific instructions to ensure that the Mafia group at Umuezeoka is destroyed permanently. In return also she placed the late Magnus Iganga on a salary scale of five hundred thousand naira [#500,000], monthly payment in addition to what the State government pays.
The council boss provided the late Magnus Iganga with more fortifications and all his atrocious acts such as forced sex with underaged girls that the late Magnus Iganga was known for were smoothly covered for him, the late Magnus Iganga engaged self in land snatching, wife snatching among others. With the backing of Madam Norah Alo, late Magnus Iganga's reign of terror could not be equalled now that Madam Norah Alo is eyeing for the House of Representatives, Magnus Iganga was made a demigod to the annoyance of the erstwhile Mafia group in Umuezeoka that was starved of monetary gains and frustration sets in.
The death of Magnus Iganga is a set back to the aspirations of Madam Norah Alo, and his rival, one notorious Ekene Odom aka Ekpekere is really happy, jubilating and celebrating the death of Magnus Iganga who he described as a tyrant. Bad enough was that the killing of Magnus Iganga was done on broad daylight and the killers were said not to be masked, and there was no resistance or aid in support of Magnus Iganga as eye witnesses said that the killers were not in a hurry to carry out their act and left. Many speculations surrounded the death of the Ezza North Ebubeagu Commander, late Magnus Iganga. The late Magnus Iganga on being made Ebubeagu Commander, given guns and patrol vehicles with errand boys became power drunk. They enter Afor Izzo market at Umuezeoka where the late Magnus Iganga hails from and use brute force and extorted people of their money, valuables.
They beat and destroyed market women and their peasant wares, on many occasions those women lay curses upon curses on Magnus Iganga and his men swearing on their left breasts that Magnus Iganga will end tragically in life except unless if it's not a woman that breast fed him with her left breast. Late Magnus Iganga collects bribes in the said market with cruelty and unleash his boys on anyone at will. On one of such days a palm wine tapper from Agba in Ishielu LGA was seen openly weeping in the Afor Izzo market that Magnus Iganga sent his boys to collect two [2] gallons of his palm wine from anyone whose drink was the best at the market, and they did without minding to pay him.
Fate was against the Agba market palm wine seller as his palm wine was the best in the market that day. The late Magnus Iganga's gun wielding boys snatched one gallon of palm wine after testing all the wine in the market and it was unfortunate that the owner who had calculated what to spend the money he makes from the sell of the palm wine rushed to collect his money from the Ebubeagu boys and he was turned down. One of the boys was kind enough to tell him that Magnus Iganga sent for the drink as the man asked for his money two of the Ebubeagu boys rushed him and used the butt off their guns and brutalized the palm wine seller and blood oozed from all parts of his body. The man wept and swore he must revenge.
Late Magnus Iganga of Ezza North Ebubeagu Commander was said to be killed in front of his concubine's house at Nwachi Umuezeoka. The Ebubeagu Commander among his many atrocities is that he is notorious for wife snatching. Magnus Iganga had incurable flare for fair, tall, curvy women with large breasts and round hips. On becoming Ebubeagu Commander - Magnus Iganga collected one Ijeoma Paul from her husband. Paul, Ijeoma's husband is a transporter who carries goods for the locals to New Market Enugu and bring them back, he married his fair, tall, round hipped-charming eyed beautiful wife from Amawula community and both of them lives at Nwachi Umuezeoka.
Residents have it that before Iganga became Ebubeagu Commander he showed interest in the said ijeoma Paul but she rebuffed him, however as the late Magnus Iganga grabbed power of gun with patrol van and numerous other Ebubeagu boys who waits on him with pump action guns Ijeoma Paul surrendered to him. Mr. Paul, Ijeoma's husband was pushed to the background as Magnus Iganga comes and goes any time of his choice, he dines with Ijeoma Paul while the husband waited until they finished having sex in his home. Late Magnus Iganga threatened to kill Mr. Paul any time he challenges him and label him IPOB member anyday he showed sign of disapproval of his illicit sex affair with his wife.
Some close neighbors to Paul's family recount severally when Mr. Paul will return back from work and met his door bolted with Magnus Iganga and his wife having unprotected sex and the man will wait somewhere until they were done. Mr. Paul's life was made miserable and his family members were said to swear for a retaliation. Could this be the reason that Ijeoma Paul was seen attempting to pack her things and run away the following day after Magnus Iganga was killed?. The entire LGA has been jubilating and celebrating the death of the Ebubeagu Commander whom they called hard terror on the people.
