Written By Godwin J.Chinedu April 14, 2018 Following the speech made by Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji after been elected as the current President of the International Criminal Court of Justice warn violators of human rights to be wary of their inhumanity acts; the 55-year-old said that he will make good use of his office to look forward towards collaborating with the Assembly of States Parties, Civil Societies and the International Community, acting together to strengthen the Rome Statute system. The Rome Statute established four core international crimes as thus: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression. Those crimes "shall not be subjected to any statute of limitations". Under the Rome Statute, the ICC can only investigate and prosecute the four core international crimes in situations where states are "unable" or "unwilling" to do so themselves; the jurisdiction of the court is complementary to jurisdictions of domestic courts. Like the President of the United States his excellency, Donald J. Trump told the crowd at his inauguration, a new vision will govern and it's going to be only America first, America first. I would love to congratulate Mazi Chile Eboe-Osuji on his decision to personally meet with Nigeria’s Attorney General/Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami over Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria. However, Mr. Chile Eboe-Osuji who was elected as an ICC judge in March 2012 must also be reminded that charity begins at home and it would be short-sighted not to prosecute President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and other officials involved in the gruesome murder and violation of human rights of the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Given the facts that Nigeria is a fantastically corrupt contraption that corrupt anything it comes in contact with, the Indigenous People of Biafra are not ruling out the possibility of bribery act from the Nigerian tyrant - President Muhammadu Buhari and his APC- led government; the Indigenous People of Biafra are much aware of Nigerian Attorney General/Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami eagerness to avert justice on the eight potential cases against Nigeria, that is the more reason the Presidency and his administration of the Court must also be reminded of the Parliamentary Campaign for the Universality and Effectiveness of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC-Campaign) aims to promote a universal culture of upholding the Rule of Law, human rights and human dignity, by contributing to put an end to impunity for the most serious crimes of concern to the International Community. Judge Eboe-Osuji who was in a meeting with the Deputy President of Nigerian Senate Mazi Ike Ekweremadu, said that the purpose of his visit was to express his gratitude to Nigeria for supporting the ICC and its mandate and that the idea of the rule of law must continue; that there must be accountability for violations of International criminal laws should also not forget that he owns more gratitude not only to our fallen heroes and heroines who die in the 1967-70 genocidal war which he also witnessed as an infant but also to those of them that were killed by the Nigerian Armed Forces under the very order of Dictator Muhammadu Buhari. As history and humanity are watching with kin interest, millions of wounded and innocent souls of Biafran fallen heroes and heroines are also waiting on him for justice to prevail because the long awaiting peaceful resting to their souls is in shambles until Justice is given to them; now the Indigenous People of Biafra await for the effective court findings and court procedures coming from the chambers of International Criminal Court of Justice involving Nigerian government and the people of Biafra.

The onus now lies in the shoulder of his excellency President of the International Criminal Court, Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji to dispense judgement accordingly and only Justice to the victims will heal old and new wounds caused by the Nigerian government, the Nigerian government are to be charged for her heinous crimes against humanity that led to the untimely death of self-determination activists. The perpetrators of crimes against humanity should be ready to dance to the dictates of what the law and her judgement will spell out in no distant time.
