"Join the protest on April 19, 2018 to stop the oppression and killing of the people of Biafra caged in a British colonial union"
The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu calls on Biafrans, friends of Biafra, freedom fighters and human rights activists to please join the upcoming protest. IPOB wish to alert humanity about the shocking human rights abuses happening to the people of Biafra still held captive in Nigeria.
In 1914, the British government under the governorship of Lord Fredrick Lugard created Nigeria by forcefully amalgamated many distinct nations in West Africa including Biafra for easy administration and governance.
The people of Biafra (Biafrans) have tremendously suffered many tragedies including genocide in the late 1960s. Biafrans continue to suffer many massacres, torture and human-rights abuses.
Currently, Nnamdi Kanu has been missing since September 14, 2017 the day the Nigerian Army invaded his home in Umuahia Province of Biafra-land and massacred many Biafrans.
The United Nations (UN), African Union (AU) and Nigeria are all signatories to the universal self-determination right. The Nigerian government refuses to obey the universal law but victimise Biafrans agitating for self-determination.
