Strong indications are emerging that various political camps are calling for reschedule of the ongoing Anambra state election. A report to The Biafra Post said that various political camps have already started to nurse and initiate the process to reschedule the election on what they termed civil disruption of the entire process.

Strong indications are emerging that various political camps are calling for reschedule of the ongoing Anambra state election. A report to The Biafra Post said that various political camps have already started to nurse and initiate the process to reschedule the election on what they termed civil disruption of the entire process.
A close source to the PDP camp accused Obiano led APGA of taking advantage of the election boycott to rig and buy INEC officials. The source who refused to disclose his name or position said that there is evidence to back up his claim.
“They came with voting sheet but nobody voted and they were taken into a room to thumb print all the sheets. Our agents were chased out in their various strong holds such as Aguleri and we will not take that from anybody”
He further said that the only option for INEC is to reschedule the election in due time and when there won’t be such level of civil approach.
When The Biafra Post contacted APC stalwart; he noted that the election was going on fine until late in the day when it was clear that people are not close or there to protect their votes and a candidate now has the opportunity to do anything he wants with the entire process. “They came with voting sheet but nobody voted and they were taken into a room to thumb print all the sheets. He further said that the only option for INEC is to reschedule the election in due time and when there won’t be such level of civil approach.
When The Biafra Post contacted APC stalwart; he noted that the election was going on fine until late in the day when it was clear that people are not close or there to protect their votes and a candidate now has the opportunity to do anything he wants with the entire process.
“I advice IPOB to make a choice; it is better that a choice is made than entire boycott” he said.
When APGA local government agent was contacted; he demanded the name of the media house calling before he would speak and urged our journalist to come to Onitsha North Local Government for full interview and he also made it clear that election will be rescheduled only where there was violence.
We cannot reschedule election because of IPOB boycotted it; if
one person voted, INEC will use the vote to announce a winner” he said and
dropped his call. Further investigation reviewed that the federal government is
trying to pacify the situation by calling aggrieved candidates together to
avoid giving IPOB undue advantage. There is a significant move to make sure
that no candidate makes disruptive press statement. However; having notably
boycotted the election in Anambra state, the election might not meet up the
required constitutional percentage needed for a winner to emerge but
investigation reviewed that politicians are united in the quest to harmonize
the candidates instead of allow them fight dirty at the detriment of the
country.
