BIAFRA: FOR THE LIKES OF ‘TUFACE’ INNOCENT IDIBIA UJAH

This is exactly the mindset of every Hausa-Fulani in Nigeria
I refrained from speaking over the proposed protest that was called by the Idoma-born singer, Tuface Idibia, until his words were met with actions. Unsurprised, he withdrew from the protest at the last minute after much threat and intimidation from the Nigeria government. Tuface Idibia reminds me of my old friend, Adoyi, who is also from the Idoma clan of Biafra Land and lives in faraway London. Adoyi accepts he is originally from Biafra but believes in the One Nigeria created by Fredrick Lugard of Britain, which is quite different from my resolve to continue to seek for the right to self-determination of the people of Biafra. Our chat had always ended in arguments until he got tired and stopped talking to me. As a result, our friendship suffered and I have not tried to find out if he is still a proud Nigerian, after lands in Agatu community in Benue state were seceded to the Fulani Herdsmen by the state governor. Agatu community is one of the several communities raided by the Fulani Herdsmen that resulted in deaths and destruction.

I do not need to bother my friend, Adoyi, because as an associate of Tuface Idibia, I am sure he is a member of the “One Voice Nigeria” protest organized by the musician or he is one of the protesters who were at the Nigeria High Commission in London to demand to see President Muhammadu Buhari who is purportedly lodged there after the expiration of his medical vacation.

Tuface Idibia and others originally from Biafra Land who still believes that Nigeria will get better needs to wake up to the distrust and disunity that can never be repaired by words from the presidential villa Abuja. For over a hundred years, the unity of Nigeria has been forced on the citizens but has never worked, even Lugard accepted the amalgamation was like mixing water and oil.  The expiration of the amalgamation treaty of 1914 is a window of opportunity for the various indigenous nations that makes up Nigeria to negotiate on what they want. The creation of Nigeria is to satisfy the British government urge for the crude oil found in Biafra Land. The Indigenous People of Biafra has chosen to exercise their right to self-determination and must be respected for their choice.

The foundation on which Nigeria is built has been destroyed by killings, bloodsheds, destructions, nepotism, corruption, marginalization and every vices associated with the country. There is nothing good that can come out of Nigeria that is worth fighting for. The corridor of power is steadily on recycling with the same cabals whose desire is to fill their pockets and increase their investments to the detriment of the younger generations. Tuface Idibia and his likes must begin to understand that the wish of the Northern Oligarchy is to make Nigeria an Islamic caliphate. Boko Haram and the Fulani Herdsmen terrorists are foot soldiers for the Islamisation of Nigeria and have full support from every sector of the country especially the armed forces.

It is time for every indigenous nation that makes up Nigeria to go back to its organic form for the sake of peace and development.  The people of Biafra are resourceful, intelligent and ingenious in nature but are been dragged behind by the marginalization in Nigeria. Biafra as a sovereign nation during the genocide of 1967-70 displayed the ability to survive and thrive even in warfare as inventions and development was rapid. The restoration of Biafra will bring forth rapid development to Africa and will stop the influx of immigrants to Europe.

It is good that those who believe in Nigeria are revolting against the government they voted into power.
Leader of IPOB; Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, had always warned about the consequences of voting an Islamic fundamentalist into power but he was accused of hate speech. The reality is that the indigenous people of Biafra had foreseen the future of Nigeria which is heading to disintegration but we are being taken for granted. Just as Nigerians are getting tired of the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, so shall they get tired of been part of the contraption created by Fredrick Lugard of Britain.
