BIAFRA: THE HUNGRY NIGER DELTA LEADERS AND WEAK IGBO LEADERS WANTS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE BUT MUST NOT BE ALLOWED

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, must be highly commended for giving a voice to the voiceless, especially the cowards referred as Igbo and Niger Delta leaders in Nigeria. It is quite observable that any Igbo or Niger Delta leaders that wishes to look or sound relevant, will always talk about Biafra, mostly to get attention from the Nigeria government. These same people had conspicuously remained silent while evil is continually perpetrated on their people. These hungry and weak elders are now hustling to be in the forefront of the deceptive dialogue by President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal.

There have been various meetings going on with these selfish elders in collaboration with President Muhammadu Buhari. Reliable information confirms that Buhari is under pressure from international quarters, as he is being asked questions on the atrocities committed against Biafrans and the continuous detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu against court orders ordering for his unconditional release. The victory of Trump has also put tension into the Nigeria government and they are looking for soft landings.

A hurried arrangement of some Igbo leaders in Jos for an inconsequential meeting and a photoshoot is a show of frustration and cluelessness by the Nigeria government led by Muhammadu Buhari. Those nonentities who called themselves Igbo leaders, claimed that they came from 31 states of Nigeria outside the south-east zone and in Diaspora, and have pledged their commitment to the unity and development of Nigeria. But does Biafrans care about their choice?  I ask again, who cares!

If that is their own form of referendum, that is fine by me but those fools who were not allowed audience with the governor but his deputy cannot speak for the Igbo clan of Biafra Land. It is very nice that they are outside the south east zone and may chose to remain there as long as they want. Where were they on September 23, 2016 when the people of Biafra stayed at home in protest and made their choice. They should have held their rendezvous in Maiduguri instead of Jos, to assure themselves that Nigeria is safe for habitation. The era of deception is long gone and the people of Biafra have made up their minds, the earlier Muhammadu Buhari realizes that, the better for Nigeria and Nigerians.

I had purposely declined earlier to respond to the meeting between Buhari and the Niger Delta leaders, this is because when I found out that Chief Edwin Clark is part of the visiting team, I knew with him there, the meeting will end with a “settle us” arrangement. These hungry Niger Delta leaders whose wealth have made them lost touch with the reality of the happenings in the creeks of Biafra Land cannot speak for the people. I am glad that the freedom fighters in the creeks responded with a BOOM! Telling them that their charade in Abuja is futile with a loud BOOM!

It is despicable that these octogenarians with no consideration for the younger generation will be dialoguing for oil bloc allocation and amnesty programme. What kind of reasoning is that? At their age, were they too afraid to tell Buhari the truth that the people are fed up after the expiration of the amalgamation treaty and want to exercise their right to self-determination? These elders were even begging for a University that was approved by the past administration and also for the fictitious “Ogoni clean up” that Buhari supposedly commissioned through the vice president, Osibanjo, in their usual razzmatazz. These so-called leaders did not seem it fit to consult their people before embarking on the meeting. It is very clear that their selfish desire is a better priority to them than the rights of the Niger Delta people.

As for Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and the other Senators from south east zone that visited Buhari, I hope they are aware that this is an opportunity given to them to show the people of Biafra where they wish to belong.  The people of Biafra did not protest on the streets of Biafra Land for politicians to get appointments from the Nigeria government. Neither did they allow themselves to be gruesomely murdered by the Nigeria armed forces and police because they want to bring attention to the infrastructural decay in their land. If suddenly, Buhari is beginning to wake from his illusion of “one Nigeria”, the south east and the south south have unequivocally declared their intention for freedom. Ike Ekweremadu must not allow himself to be used as a tool against his people because the people of Biafra are not seeking political attention but their right to self-determination. Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafrans must be released before there will be any form of negotiation.

Biafrans must be at alert for hawks in the form of elders and leaders who want to take glory for a struggle they were never part of, especially now our freedom is in sight. Muhammadu Buhari has realized that we are more united than ever, as all his divide and rule tactics have failed him and his cabal.  Whether he likes it or not, he will be forced to act civilly or ‘drown’ trying to stop the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. These elders and leaders must jettison their personal agenda against their people before it is too late or they will drown with Buhari.
