Radio Biafra Announces New Satellite Frequency Amid Broadcast Challenges
Public Attention
Radio Biafra has announced a new satellite frequency for its broadcast, urging listeners and supporters to update their decoders to continue receiving its programmes.
According to the announcement, the change follows what the station described as continuous pressure from the Nigerian government and other opponents of the Biafra struggle to disrupt its satellite broadcast and weaken IPOB’s global communication network.
The newly announced Radio Biafra satellite parameters are:
- Satellite: IS20 @ 68.5° East
- Frequency: 12682 MHz
- Polarisation: Horizontal (H)
- Symbol Rate: 30000
- Modulation: DVB-S2/QPSK
Listeners are advised to use the new parameters to retune their satellite decoders and restore access to Radio Biafra broadcasts.
The announcement reaffirmed the station’s commitment to continuing its broadcasts despite what it described as mounting challenges.
“We continue to march irrespective of any challenge.”
Listeners and supporters are also urged to share the new frequency widely to ensure that Radio Biafra’s audience remains connected.
