A fresh public exchange has emerged following a legal warning issued by Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, cautioning against what he described as defamatory statements concerning his client.
In the widely circulated social media post, Ejimakor stated that Nnamdi Kanu is "in prison for fighting for his people, not for allegedly buying a house in Kenya or for infidelity." He further warned that anyone making such allegations should "think twice" because, according to him, "muscular legal actions will ensue."

The statement has generated widespread reactions across social media, with supporters and critics debating whether the warning signals an intention to pursue legal action against individuals making public allegations relating to Kanu's private life.
Among the responses was a detailed public statement issued by Uchechigeme Anyanwụụtụtụ Okwu-Kanu, who framed her remarks as a direct challenge to those she described as "flying monkeys" engaged in propaganda, character assassination, and coordinated misinformation.

Responding to the legal warning, Okwu-Kanu argued that if those making allegations against her are genuinely confident in their claims, they should appoint a single representative resident in the United Kingdom to publicly stand behind every accusation that has been circulated about her over the years.

According to her, the purpose of such a challenge is to have the allegations tested under the UK legal system, where evidence—not online narratives or social media campaigns—determines the outcome.

In her statement titled "A Simple Challenge for the Flying Monkeys," Okwu-Kanu maintained that she has endured years of insults, blackmail, misinformation, and false accusations while choosing not to respond publicly, believing that truth would eventually speak for itself.
She, however, stated that silence should never be mistaken for weakness.

Addressing those she accused of spreading propaganda, she challenged them to stop hiding behind anonymous online accounts and instead nominate one individual living in the United Kingdom who would publicly repeat every allegation against her and be prepared to defend those claims before a UK court.
According to Okwu-Kanu, she has neither the time nor the inclination to pursue individuals scattered across different countries. Instead, she said one representative willing to assume responsibility for the allegations would be sufficient for the matter to be tested under judicial scrutiny.

She argued that the courtroom—not social media—is where evidence is examined, credibility is tested, and accountability is enforced.

Okwu-Kanu further stated that if those making accusations truly believe they possess credible evidence, they should have nothing to fear from legal proceedings. However, she warned that if the allegations are based on distortion, manipulation, or deliberate falsehoods, judicial examination would ultimately expose them.
She emphasized that her challenge is not motivated by revenge but by a desire to restore integrity to public discourse, arguing that responsible public conversations should be guided by verifiable evidence rather than emotion, propaganda, or mob behaviour.
Concluding her statement, Okwu-Kanu extended what she described as an open invitation to her critics:

"Choose your representative. Stand by your allegations. Bring your evidence. And let me teach you how to dance this Suru-gede meant for the spirits."
The exchange has further intensified ongoing debates within sections of the IPOB community and among political observers regarding accountability, public criticism, defamation, and the appropriate forum for resolving disputed allegations.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no public indication that legal proceedings have been commenced by either party in relation to the latest statements.
