DUBLIN, Ireland – June 29, 2026 — The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Ireland has issued a press statement reaffirming its recognition of Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem as the sole and legitimate Head of the Directorate of State (DOS), describing its position as final and unequivocal.

In the statement, signed by Mazi Charles Mbala, National Coordinator of IPOB Ireland, and Mazi Stephen Chukwuemeka, National Secretary, the group stated that it fully recognizes Edoziem as the only authentic leader of the Directorate of State. According to the statement, any claim or action aimed at challenging or undermining his leadership is rejected as "null, void, and of no effect."
IPOB Ireland said its decision is rooted in what it described as unwavering loyalty to the Biafran movement, adherence to the movement's chain of command, and commitment to the pursuit of Biafra's self-determination. The statement praised Edoziem's leadership, discipline, and dedication, adding that the Ireland chapter would continue to channel its activities and support through the Directorate of State under his leadership.
The organization also warned against what it described as attempts to create division, sabotage, or spread misinformation within the movement. It maintained that there is only one Directorate of State and that Edoziem remains its undisputed head.

Addressing the public, the statement urged Biafrans both at home and abroad not to be influenced by what it called fake news or orchestrated propaganda. IPOB Ireland asserted that it had spoken with one voice on the matter and reiterated that Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem remains the Head of the Directorate of State.
The group further called on IPOB members and affiliated structures worldwide to remain focused, disciplined, and aligned with what it described as the legitimate leadership of the movement. It concluded by reaffirming its commitment to the restoration of Biafra, stating that the objective remains non-negotiable.
The press statement was issued from Dublin, Ireland, on Monday, June 29, 2026, and bears the signatures of the national leadership of IPOB Ireland.
