The Biafrans in Canada Community Association, identified in the document as the Canadian affiliate of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB Worldwide), has issued a public statement reaffirming its support for the Directorate of State (DOS) under the leadership of Mazi Chukwukadibia Edoziem amid ongoing leadership disagreements within the movement.
The statement, referenced IPOBCADON000130 and dated July 6, 2026, was signed by Chief (Sir) Collins Okwudili Ogoke KSJI, National Coordinator of IPOB Canada.

According to the document, the Canadian chapter was responding to recent developments within the IPOB family worldwide following communications allegedly issued by Aloy Ejimakor, legal counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The statement says the communication claimed that the Directorate of State and the apex leadership of IPOB had been removed and replaced.

Rejecting that position, IPOB Canada stated that it distances itself from what it described as an "ill-timed and disappointing communication."

The organization reaffirmed its "full solidarity" with the Directorate of State and its head, Mazi Chukwukadibia Edoziem.

The statement further noted that, in its view, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had proceeded to appoint a different leadership team consisting of individuals "hitherto unknown to IPOB."

Consequently, the Canadian chapter declared that it would continue to recognize and work with the Directorate of State.
IPOB Canada also stated that it rejects what it described as a "non-oath leadership" and called on Biafrans worldwide to rally behind the DOS.
In addition, the organization expressed support for the indefinite suspension of the offices of the Leader of IPOB and Director of Radio Biafra, arguing that those offices had been subjected to abuse. The statement endorsed what it described as the institutionalization of the organization and urged the Directorate of State to continue promoting a peaceful campaign for the restoration of the State of Biafra while countering violence.

The document concluded by encouraging members of the Directorate of State to remain steadfast in the struggle, describing the current situation as another challenge the movement must overcome. It ended with the declaration, "IPOB: One Family," and a prayer for divine guidance and strength.

The statement represents the position of the IPOB Canada chapter as presented in the document and reflects ongoing internal disagreements over leadership and organizational direction within the movement.
