I personally doubt people's perceptiveness in connection with Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeaz's cunning call for dialogue with the Indigenous People of Biafra. He made the call after unconfirmed report says he visited Biafra nationalist leader; Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at DSS underground secret cell. Kanu was kidnapped from Kenya and bundled back to Nigeria without respecting international extradition legal procedure. The dialogue call, credited by Abia state governor is not different from the one made by Ohaneze Ndigbo.
Recall, the social cultural group claimed that they are monitoring Kanu's court case preside' by Justice Binta Nyako's Federal High Court but recently called for a month cease fire in Southeast. Maybe, to allow nonsensical Anambra election to be conducted after which IPOB leader can remain in detention till further notice. Whereas, international law that supersedes every other nation's law, spells out that Nigeria court lacks the jurisdiction to adjudicate on Kanu's extraordinary rendition case. This should be the major concern by any politician wishing to intervene in the subject matter other than eye service.
Believe it or not, Okezie Ikpeazu sudden change of tongue might be unconnected with his political ambition, as people commending him may have misunderstood his political maneuvering or smartness he is trying to play with their psych. Let me further make it abundantly clear; Okezie Ikpeazu's political ambition is a priority to him more than masses interest. IPOB leadership is conversant with this myopic political trick and they cannot fall victim to it.
Recently, it looks like deceptive flood gates of dialogue were open for dubious Igbo political frontiers after they have discovered that IPOB leader cannot be bought over with material things or enticed with political position. Since inception Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has not change on his quest for freedom of his Biafran people. He reminds consistent, focus, determined and resolute as days go by. This is what Nigerian government founds astonished in him, he is not the usual Igbo man that exchange worldly for freedom. Only physical reality Mazi Nnamdi Kanu knows is Biafra freedom, nothing else. Even at gun point he speaks only but Biafra emancipation.
Only those that knew nothing about Nigerian politicians will be victimized by their rhetoric which they usually alter for mere political impressive exaggeration. There is no single sincerity on the aforementioned dialogue call, made by Abia state governor unless; in a later days he proves it beyond reasonable doubt through positive action.
I know most Biafrans can easily be manipulated with mere political hallucination or jingle. This is why politicians kept posting them every four year with empty campaign promises if not that IPOB has put to stop to it. Nigerian politicians are worthless, mainly those of them from Igbo extraction. They cannot be trusted, anyone depending on their empty promises is doing that at his own peril.
Not even Okezie Ikeazu's subtle deceptive press statement will make IPOB leadership to shift ground. When once there is genuine dialogue by any Nigeria politician IPOB leadership will know, not snake charm dialogue from both Abia state governor and Former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, who shamelessly said that he is working quietly for the release of Biafra nationalist leader. Let me state it emphatically clear; there are procedures for genuine dialogue which those political lunatics are getting wrong. First; they should openly demand unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Secondly, without fear of their Fulani godfathers, they should quash proscription of Indigenous People of Biafra as a terrorist organization and lastly but not the least, they will tender a public apology for their treachery against the indigenous People of Biafra before seeking for dialogue. Without it, there won't be any room for negotiation.
Those believing the political tricks by Abia state governor, should know that he is doing it to get affection from the masses after the voluntary Monday Sit-at-Home which is heating his state economy badly. Couple with the one month total lockdown threat by IPOB leadership. Igbo politicians have seen how serious IPOB is, which was the main reason they are clamoring for shortcut dialogue. Perhaps, Biafrans wholeheartedly accepted staying indoors every Monday in solidarity to their leader's incarceration even after it was suspended by IPOB leadership. The voluntary Monday Sit-at-Home by Biafrans has shown that Southeast governors are not in charge of their various states, as evidence abound. The commitment exhibiting by Biafrans has been a bordering issue among politicians in Nigeria, and they wish to stop it. This is where the call for dialogue comes in, so that Anambra election can scale through.
The call made by Okezie Ikpeazu was to prove to their fellow dubious Fulani politicians that he can control the Indigenous People of Biafra, as a state governor, but he lied. This could be the main reason they instigated he should seek a false dialogue without courageously questioning their Fulani counterpart the rationale behind, extraditing a foreign national in another country without legal procedure. The perimeter Nigerian politicians are using to deceive their fellow countrymen is what i still found astonishing. Masses easily fall for political rhetoric without questioning the rationale behind it like that of Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu. Or should i say Igbos' are mentally dehumanized by the oppressive government to the extent they cannot recall anymore. It seems prostrate is the order of the moment if someone in his rightful senses can believe the deceptive shameful press statement made by Abia state governor can said to be genuine dialogue.
