IPOB; The irresistible People of Biafra: If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them
Published by The Biafra Post | April 19, 2018
London: Today April 19, 2018, at Pall Mall London SW1 Y5JH, major Nigerian media houses lined-up to report the colourful and civilised protest organised by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The protesters were demanding that Dictator Buhari of Nigeria should:
1. Provide Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of IPOB freedom movement;
2. Release all IPOB Activists locked up in Nigerian prisons;
3. Respect the universal right to self-determination;
4. Support the people of Biafra to organise a referendum and determine their wish to remain or leave the colonial union created and named Nigeria by the British government.
Mazi Kanu was last seen on September 14, 2017 the day Nigerian Army invaded his home in Umuahia Biafra-land and killed many IPOB Activists.
IPOB had long reported the matter to human rights organisations including the African Union (AU) and European Union (EU).
The AU human rights body has advised Nigeria to suspend further actions against IPOB. Nevertheless, Buhari’s government has not complied with the EU ORDERS.
Today IPOB brought the demands at the door step of the 2018 Commonwealth gathering.
