Chinedu April 12, 2018 We have heard and seen different people with divergent views and thoughts as to why this generation of Biafrans are agitating for their right to self-determination, many are of the opinion that the Indigenous People of Biafra have being marginalized by the Federal Government of Nigeria ever since the 1967-70 genocidal war ended till date; but the writer can categorically confirm to my readers that there are more things to it than what anyone can see or express. The truth is that there is a grand hatred, envy and jealousy projected towards the old Eastern region of British created Nigeria otherwise known as the Biafra State, evident bounds or isn't it ironic how nemesis caught up with them on their hate speech bill. Readers will recall that for nearly three years now the court case of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is on-going without any trial of whatsoever; the persecutor being Dictator Muhammadu Buhari and his APC -led government coupled with surrogates known as the Department of State Security Service [DSS], having known that they can't win the case against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and his co-defendant has pedalled on frivolous court adjournments because they know too well that the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra have not committed any crime known to law however it is only obtainable to remand self-determination activists in prison in a contraption called Nigeria by the British government. It is prevalent in this British contraption that the call for self-determination is viewed as a treasonable offence, not minding the fact that tyrant Mohammadu Buhari keep manipulating the court processes. Hausa–Fulani APC-led Federal Government out of their hatred and jealousy keep seeking for a way to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; it became crystal clear on March 1, 2018 Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi representing APC-Niger State in the Senate sponsored a hate speech bill which passed for second reading at the Upper House which prescribed death penalty by hanging for any person found guilty of any form of hate speech. The bill actually is an attempt projected to silence and kill the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; like an adage that says hate is fun, and nemesis after, the Greek goddess of indignation and retributive justice allows you to focus your negativity; barely a month after former Defence Minister, TY Danjuma called on his middle belt people to carry arms and defend themselves, every where became silent like a grave yard later the Fulani cattle breeders demanded to have his head cut off and patiently we are waiting for the implementation of the hate speech bill against the Fulani Cattle breeders hence self-defense is a natural law. Instead of the law enforcement agencies to act and tame this wild beast called Fulani herdsmen rather Nigerians are waiting for tyrant Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Armed Forces to charge Retired General Theophilus Y. Danjuma to court on treasonable or hate speech but funny enough about a week ego the members of the House of Representatives have commended former Defence Minister, Gen. T.Y. Danjuma, for advising Nigerians who are being killed by Fulani herdsmen to defend themselves, also from the presidency a Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, also backed the call by former Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Danjuma (Rtd) that Nigerians should defend themselves against the unending violence in some parts of the country. This was the same speech made by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in 2014 during one of his broadcast on Radio Biafra and the same people applauding and backing Gen.T.Y Danjuma today called it hate speech then Nnamdi Kanu was abducted and charged him treason, also recall that on Tuesday, August 17, 2017 in Isiama Afaraukwu - Ibeku, Umuahia province elder Kanu's residence during the inauguration of Biafra Secret Service (BSS), a team of young youths volunteered themselves to help curb the menace of Fulani herdsmen and to also ensure the safety of our people returning from the North ahead of the October 1st quit notice served on Igbo people living in the North by a coalition of Arewa groups.
Biafra Security Services was established to help gather intelligence and to safeguard the entire Biafra land from any forms of invasion like grazing reserve to cattle colony, lawlessness by the marauding Fulani herdsmen which sometimes result to kidnapping and killing, armed robbery and cattle rustling, then the Chief of Army Staff and his principal tyrant Mohammadu Buhari declared a cold war on Biafran leader as they invaded his home and destroyed lives and properties and made away with Nnamdi Kanu and his parents up until now the Global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) cannot tell if noble Nnamdi Kanu is dead or alive.
Furthermore they went ahead to proscribed the Indigenous People of Biafra as a terrorist organization which is very laughable, thousands of Biafrans were abducted and kept in different secret Prisons across the length and breadth of Nigeria, while the Nigerian government is busy setting members of the Boko Haram sects free, Boko Haram as we all know is an Islamist movement founded in 2002 by Yusuf Muhammad in Borno State of Nigeria. Yusuf Muhammad's teaching propagated hatred toward Western civilization. It vehemently affirmed the infallibility of the Qur'an as the uncreated and eternal word of Allah. Yusuf also demanded the full implementation of Sharia in Nigeria to usher in the perfect Islamic State, by 2009 the group had evolved into a jihadist movement with the goal of using military campaigns to create an Islamic State not only in the North but the whole of Nigeria. In further developments, it declared a caliphate in the territories of Northern Nigeria under its control and pledged support for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). People of such Ideology are now systematically released and rehabilitated into the Nigerian Armed Forces to oversee the total Islamisation of Biafra land by killing at will without any form of provocations, the writer can confirm to you with every degree of certainty that the Nigerian Armed Forces is a legal wing of Boko Haram as corroborated with T.Y Danjuma's assertion on them that “The Nigerian Armed Forces are not neutral. This and many others are the reasons why the Indigenous People of Biafra insisted that their right to self-determination must not be infringed nor being neutralize by the Nigerian government that is a BokoHaram sponsor, the Indigenous People of Biafra say not to Igbo Presidency which to them is a bait to lure in for effective and more killings, IPOB boldly say no to restructuring Nigeria and what have you; all they people of Biafra are asking for is for a referendum to determine their collective fates and the unwillingness of their people to remain in this contraption called Nigeria. What the Indigenous People of Biafra demands from the power that be is the total restoration of the sovereign state Biafra which was wrongly being amalgamated by the British government in 1914 without due consultations as to know if the Biafrans actually wants to form a country with Hausa-Fulani.
