BIAFRA: CHIDIEBERE ONWUDIWE AND OTHER DEFENDANTS; BEFORE OCT 1ST QUIT NOTICE

If anything is bothering me; it is the fate of Chidiebere Onwudiwe and other defendants that were supposed to be granted bail alongside the prime suspect of the laughable treasonable felony before Justice Binta Nyako. Justice Binta Nyako has deployed a methodical delay to give the Federal government of Nigeria time to search and hold onto something to enable them establish prima facie which is believed to be non-existing in the case.

A case the prosecution has been pleading the trial judge to accelerate just suddenly stalked because the prime suspect was granted bail. This further exposes the lackluster disposition of the judiciary in Nigeria; a rot that has denied common man hope. Suddenly; the case will no longer be accelerated, rescheduling or indefinite adjournment sets in.

This methodical delay has put the lives of Chidiebere Onwudiwe; Ben Madubugwu and co at risk, in the absence of their deteriorating health condition, mental torture and right abuses, 1st October quit notice is a bigger threat.

The quit notice was issued as a result of the agitation championed by Nnamdi Kanu; the Northern Nigerian people alleged that they have lost sense of country men with their Eastern part and feels it is time to call it a quit. They further made it clear that the reason for issuing the quit notice is because of the frustration the agitation has put them into. Recently; they repeated the threat and warned that the Eastern region indigenes should leave.

Chidiebere Onwudiwe and other defendants that are still detained are believed to be major players in the issue that gave birth to the October 1st quit notice. With the sufficient knowledge that they are detained in the North; what would be their fate on or before 1st October? I am certainly curious because I am very much aware of Gideon Akaluka's issue; where Northern people stormed a detention facility and brought the preacher out, beheaded him and made fun of his corpse.

Will Chidiebere Onwudiwe and his co-defendants be an exception in advent of action on or before or after 1st October?
Northern Nigerian people are so uncivilized and uneducated; their faith has placed them in a situation of bloodshed, kill as many infidels as possible and be crowned in heaven. Die defending Islamic religion and get seven virgins you can molest and make love with all your life in heaven. How did the fierce hand of religion brought men so low and denied them reason?

Whilst the continued detention of Chidiebere Onwudiwe and co could set the country on fire; it is pertinent that I remind Justice Binta Nyako that political resolution is everything needed to shelve the impending disaster on Nigeria. Continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu’s co-defendants is only giving the people basis of disbelief over the possibility of stabilization.
We must not trade the risk of continued detention of Chidibere Onwudiwe and his co-defendants in this fragile period. It would not go down well for Nigeria even after Biafra is restored should any of these peaceful and lawful agitators suffer death or attack in custody.

The defendants should be released as the release of the prime suspect in the matter has proved there is no threat whatsoever if bail is granted. It further neutralizes all personal or state ingredients contained in the argument that has warranted their bail denial. There is never a time the defendants would jump bail because the prime suspect never did and they have nothing to fear hence there is no evidence against them. Release Chidiebere Onwudiwe before 1st October to avoid unnecessary tension.
