BIAFRA: BIAFRANS MUST CONTINUE TO BE RELENTLESS AGAINST THE WORST AS THE JOURNEY TO FREEDOM GETS TOUGHER

There was a time in Nigeria when the Indigenous People of Biafra led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu were referred to as facebook warriors, miscreants, biafraud and a lot of other derogatory terms. My then favorite online forum, Nairaland, could not stand the pressure from Biafrans demanding the right to self-determination and had to add a new rule banning the discussion of Biafra and IPOB on its forum. I was hated so much on the online platform when I began to champion the #IPOB Youth on every of my post. My personal pictures were quickly traced to Facebook and uploaded on a thread on the platform cursing, threatening and ridiculing me. That was the first cyber attack I got but I have continue to be persistent and more determined to opt out of the forced unity. Even Facebook management got compromised and had to remove its largest forum, Radio Biafra London, but restored it afterwards, when pressures from Biafrans became unbearable. The Nigeria media avoided the inclusion of the clamor for the restoration of Biafra anchored by IPOB like a taboo that should never be spoken about but rather engaged in distorting and disseminating lies brought to them by the Nigeria government.
Notwithstanding, the people of Biafra have brought upon the attention of the international media, diplomats and the global community and discussions are ongoing on the clamor for the restoration of Biafra. The Nigeria media platforms can no longer broadcast or release their journals without the inclusion of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. Biafra has become a trending topic on every online forum and social media platforms. IPOB has forced the docile politicians, elites and intelligentsia in Nigeria to talk about restructuring of the contraption created by Fredrick Lugard. For the first time in fifty years, the South East and ‘South-South’ governors had a meeting together because of the urge and awareness of the indigenes of their states to have their own Indigenous nation of Biafra.
The attack to scuttle efforts of Biafrans in the journey to the restoration of Biafra has become a do-or- die affair not only from the Nigeria government but also their allies notably Britain. The demand for referendum is a revelation of the peace-loving nature of the people of Biafra. But they must realize they are dealing with the Nigeria government that is uncivilized and prefers violence rather than dialogue. The drum of war has continued to be beaten by the Nigeria government whom refers to the right to self-determination as treason.
I look back at the achievement of the Indigenous People of Biafra towards the struggle for the restoration and it is laudable and must be commended. The resilience and the formidability of the people of Biafra are never in question but they must face the reality that the Nigeria government is gearing towards genocide against the people of Biafra.
The Biafra Genocide of 1967-70 thrived because our grandparents and parents were ill-prepared for guerilla warfare and got blockade while defending themselves against the invasion by the Nigeria army and its allies. The British government enormously assisted the Nigeria military with weapons and foreign mercenaries, scuttling every efforts of the then Biafra government in building any foreign alliance. It is advisable not to forget the “Aburi Accord” agreed by Ojukwu and Gowon in Ghana, was jettison for the gruesome extermination of Biafrans.
The people of Biafra must prepare for the worst as they continue to demand for referendum, so they are not caught unaware like their grandparents and parents. As Biafrans continue to thread in peace and calling for referendum, there must be preparation for the defense of the people and also for an attack against invaders. The Nigeria government is not ready to accept the restructuring of the contraption and the call for referendum is surely a tougher option for the cabal in government. It is obvious the cabal prefers bloodshed to a peaceful disintegration of Nigeria.
As the people of Biafra continue to press for a referendum, the unarmed and peaceful youths should begin to be prepared in the case of any eventuality by the murderous Nigeria government against them in their homes. The leadership of IPOB must accelerate in building stronger foreign alliances and lobbyists. The covet production of weaponry should begin because the Nigeria government has begun the amassment of weapons from Pakistan and other Islamic allies. Matter of fact, as the people of Biafra peacefully cries aloud to the world to exercise the right to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations Charter, there must be preparation for the defense of the citizens also because those in control of the affairs of Nigeria reason and behave like animals, they are not civilized and not willing to dialogue.
