BIAFRA: RALPH UWAZURIKE’S CASE WITH FG; WHY IT WAS HALTED, THE AGREEMENT THAT RELEASED HIM FROM DETENTION - DOSSIER

It was all clear to us that Ralph Uwazurike established a movement in 1999 and named it MASSOB; the movement was to fight for the restoration of Biafra. It got the attention of the people of Biafra until it fizzled out and became the bane of the people. All hope to restore Biafra was blown away by a whirlwind. The movement engaged in a lot of things like forcefully taxing the people and establishment of camps where Biafrans are punished for one accused crime or another.
The sweet taste of the movement got sour when the very man in question was arrested; prior to his arrest, the movement lacked coordination and focus. It was made up of vibrant youths in South East without including all the Indigenous territories of Biafra. Biafra is incomplete without the present so-called Niger Delta because it is the Old Eastern region we all knew that made up Biafra. The movement primarily seems to be awareness movement and not Biafra restoration movement.
Celebrating MASSOB Day and Biafra Day is the hallmark of the group; the only thing they achieved or can boast of. The movement anchored more on telling the people how UN admitted them and all sorts of lies. There is no gainsaying that the movement was anchored on deceit but the passion of the people of Biafra blinded them. Lebeanya Ralph Uwazurike who is the leader of MASSOB claimed to be a lawyer when he has no certificate; a thing that worsened the image of the movement.
Suddenly; the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria was drawn to the activities of the group and Ralph Uwazurike was trailed and subsequently arrested. His arrest was almost the end of the movement because he did not build a structure or sensitized the people, while some Biafrans were trying to create awareness to the plight of Uwazurike, it was not enough to help his case.
According to an investigation; Olusegun Obasanjo who was the President of Nigeria when the movement came into existence called the members of MASSOB and induced them with millions of Naira to stop their activities and abandoned Ralph Uwazurike in detention. A report indicated that MASSOB members rejected the money while a different account stated that the money was taken from the back. While Uwazurike was still in detention; it came to his notice that MASSOB members have taken some money to stop their activities. It actually weighed him down; he visibly lost the motivation to carry on.
At this point; Uwazurike began to beg for his freedom while in detention, Olusegun Obasanjo found himself on a position of authority and that gave room for negotiation. Initially; Olusegun Obasanjo refused to listen to negotiation of any kind and to Uwazurike, he was at the end of the road and needed to do anything for him to find a way out and save his life.
The Federal Government led by Olusegun Obasanjo finally entered into agreement with Ralph Uwazurike. The agreement reached was that he would never agitate or ask for Biafra; Uwazurike agreed that MASSOB shall be turned into political pressure group as advised on the table of negotiation. The acceptance of MASSOB as a pressure group was not enough; so Olusegun Obasanjo through his SSS demanded that Uwazurike must help the government to ensure that Biafra agitation stops in Nigeria and anything or anybody found in such act; that he (Uwazurike) will be re-arrested and he agreed upon that as well. His duty was upgraded that he shall help the government to destroy what he created, he gives intelligence report and directly opposes Biafra restoration, anyone that goes beyond his limit; he takes the person out through the SSS.
In keeping with the agreement; Uwazurike was promised everything he needed to ensure that Biafra agitation is not heard of in Nigeria. The media, finance, contacts and everything he wants; the major aim was to make sure that Biafra agitation seizes or his case will be re-opened and he would pay dearly for every criminal activity he perpetrated with Youths in Biafra. Uwazurike has no option but to admit everything put on the table for him to be released. Uwazurike is at liberty to use any Nigerian media, Vanguard, Punch, Sun etc to execute anything he wants; he can use the SSS and he can use FG finance.
Uwazurike’s passports were seized and he cannot get another one; he cannot leave Nigeria and is being seriously monitored and reminded his agreement with the government. He cannot keep quiet while Biafra restoration is going on, if he does, he would be called in for questioning. Fighting Nnamdi Kanu and the rest of people that sincerely fight for Biafra restoration is part of his agreement and if he ever stops fighting, his case will be re-opened and he would pay for the failure to live up the agreement that gave him freedom from detention.
He was released after his agreement was perfected but the death of his parent proved decisive; he was not discharged by any court neither was he acquitted. Before one thinks otherwise; have you questioned what happened that a man accused and detained suddenly got released and never questioned again. If Lebeanya Ralph Uwazurike denies this report; let him dare and Biafra Reporters shall mend his lies.

Last week; Biafra Reporters promised that series of dossier shall be released this week to unravel the atrocities of Lebeanya Ralph Uwazurike. It is important that you know that this is not a report made by Biafra Reporters as we conceal the identity of the sources responsible for this leak. This is a firsthand report exclusively obtained by Biafra Reporters and published on The Biafra Post.
