Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; Leader of IPOB
It is vital to make things clear to avoid futility that will profit nobody; come rain come shine, IPOB shall never accept the secret trial of her leader. The move by Buhari to adopt secret trial is asking too much or impossibility. There are factors responsible for total rejection of secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu; when critically assessed, you will come to the conclusion that Nnamdi Kanu shall never be tried in secret.

The ruling that upheld secret trial simply posits that the Court cannot try Nnamdi Kanu any longer; Buhari can go on and be the Judge and everything but when injustice faces resistance, it will be immense. With the approval of secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu; justice is not being visually dispensed. In law; justice is not only done but it must be seen as it is dispensed or walked to its destination. By virtue of allowing secret trial; it is very clear to everyone that justice is on a wrong path, it is not being dispensed and at the end, injustice will be the destination.

Let us once more take a critical look at the case or charges against Nnamdi Kanu, the Federal Government earlier on came with terrorism which was a case secret trial can be arguable but two competent Court of jurisdiction discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu, the Court went further to order his immediate unconditional release. The Federal Government flouted the order of the Court and added treasonable felony to the charges after inconsistent amendment.

One will begin to ask why notwithstanding that law and history is against Buhari’s quest for a secret trial; he is so determined to influence the Court to the point of appointing his sister from Kastina in the person of Justice Binta Nyako to implement his sinister plan. Chief Obafemi Awolowo was charged with treason; a man with more serious charges but he was publicly tried and host of persons charged with more serious crimes than this of Nnamdi Kanu’s trumped up charges.

You will eventually come to the conclusion that the bigotry that propelled Buhari and his cohorts to carry out genocide against Biafrans is still very much running in his veins. The very effort to try Nnamdi Kanu in secret is a guarantee Nnamdi Kanu will be jailed at the end of the day. It would become a disgrace to every single one that is a human being to allow such vile against humanity. That a man that peacefully demanded a thing can be jailed; does it mean civilization is alien to Nigeria and her cohorts, does it urge armed or violent approach or demands against peaceful or legal approach?

IPOB must stand firm and make sure that Nnamdi Kanu shall never be tried in secret; IPOB should be proud of the fact that peace has been sustained through her. IPOB should be proud that Operation Python Dance was quickly underscored due to there was no need to operate in Biafra land as IPOB had largely ensured peaceful state of Biafra. IPOB should be very proud that the then Action Group cannot be of a match to her. If Awolowo was tried openly in spite of his more serious charge of treason, violent and condemnable nature of Action Group; then Nnamdi Kanu’s secret trial issue is nothing but the marginalization and bigotry and injustice being fought through Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu has saved the people of Biafra from slavery of the Northern oligarchy and this is why secret trial shall never go through.

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu in secret is a clear path to conviction and every move being made about the secret trial is to have a platform to implement his illegal conviction. The legal battle in question will be decided by what happens now. Openly trying Nnamdi Kanu will ensure or pressure Buhari and his Judge to be fair and rule accordingly, while secret trial will help them illegally convict him. So that the world and the public will not have a say or see the injustice or rather the dirty linen of the so-called Nigerian judiciary being controlled by a daft.

It is more harmful for a Country that openly disobeyed the orders of Court to adopt secret trial; if they can openly flout or show contempt to competent Court, then in secret, they can even dismantle a Court and set up a Family to try and convict accused person. There is no moral ground to giving in to secret trial as the move is aimed at hurting humanity and everything lawful. Nigeria as number one or trending corrupt Country will do nothing but corruptly and illegally destroy rule of law and with self imposed law hurt Nnamdi Kanu if given chance to secretly do anything.

Finally; it is high time everybody start fighting Muhammed Buhari and his Judge Binta Nyako; the press and citizens must wake up to the fact that without Nnamdi Kanu, we are all heading to doom. Buhari’s bigotry will eventually lead us all to that end Gowon’s mistake and hatred led us to in 1967; we must wake up now and call for an end to bigotry and hatred, we must demand Nnamdi Kanu’s release and Biafra question addressed as self determination agitation is being addressed everywhere in the world.

Secret trial is not and cannot be on the table; Biafrans cannot in any way accept the marginalization that has been prevalent in this case of their leader. Leader of Biafrans will not be allowed to be tried in secret when the leader of Oduduwa in the person of Awolowo was not tried in secret in spite of his charges been more serious than that of the Biafran leader. There is a sensitization that they are now free from slavery and must be treated to equity. I assure every single one that death will be the result of anything less than equity and justice. The people of Biafra are now ready to get justice or die with everybody or anybody against justice for them or fighting them.
