BIAFRA: ODUMEGWU OJUKWU WE KNOW, NNAMDI KANU WE KNOW BUT THE SOUTH EAST POLITICIANS AND TRADITIONAL RULERS, WHO ARE THEY?

It is quite obvious that the Nigeria government has lost in all its bid to subdue Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, but do not want to come to terms with the truth. The latest tool for President Muhammadu Buhari against the people of Biafra is the politicians and elders from the South East. The Senators from the South East are the newest political bride for Buhari, as there are ongoing plans in his political party – APC, to convince politicians from the South East to join the fold, as top party members from the South West becomes disenchanted with the party. Former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia state has been accepted into the party as he has fulfilled the pre-condition given to him, which was to undermine via the media, the people of Biafra and the struggle for the restoration of Biafra. It is such a shame that these politicians will fall for cheap gimmicks out of fright from a cattle rearer.

The struggle for the restoration of Biafra is a genuine and law-binding cause which the people of Biafra have resorted to exercise, after every effort to live in unity in Nigeria even after the Biafra Genocide of 1967-70. There is no doubt that the Southeast and South south geo-political zone are the worst hit in terms of marginalization in Nigeria whereas these zones are the bedrock to the survival of Nigeria. The marginalization of these geo-political zones is catalyzed by politicians and elders from the zones, especially those of the South east. It is such an irony that the northern politicians including Muhammadu Buhari spoke against the killing of members of Boko Haram terrorists when Goodluck Jonathan was in power, but most of the south east politicians and elders have gone dumb as peaceful Biafran activists are continually killed and abducted.

The politicians and elders from the old eastern region must bear in mind that the relevancy been accorded them by the Nigeria government is largely because of the clamor for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. Most of these self-serving politicians have occupied several political positions and had the opportunity to serve the people but they have nothing to show but their personal investments. Politicians of the old eastern region must act civilly even if they have made their choice of remaining in Nigeria, let their choice and that of the people be put to test in a civilized manner. They must not allow themselves to be lampooned as usual into a state of cowardice.

Former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu is the newest errand boy for President Buhari, as different money-mongering cliques under the auspice of South East are hurriedly organized by him and sent to Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja for photoshoot and jamboree. The cliché of these nonentities usually sent to speak on behalf of the South East is to submit a list of demands on the infrastructural deficits of the area and then render praises to the president.

While the world is horrified over the extra-judicial killing of peaceful Biafran activists, the greedy politicians and elders from the South East are demanding for road construction instead of justice. These politicians and elders can continue to support the atrocities against the people they claim they represent but they must understand that there shall be no peace for them and Nigeria until Biafra is restored.

The people of Biafra are very much aware of the exploits of late General Odumegwu Ojukwu in protecting his people from annihilation. Biafrans are not oblivious of the efforts of Nnamdi Kanu towards the liberation of his people. As for the South East politicians and traditional rulers, who are they and what have they done for their people? The day of reckoning is very near for these evil politicians and elders, on that day, the revolution for freedom and justice will begin from their homes.
