BIAFRA: IPOB CALLS FOR CALM NO MATTER THE OUTCOME OF THE CASE TODAY

IPOB has appealed to the millions of supporters and members of Indigenous People of Biafra in Biafra land to calm down and should not engage in any protest. This appeal is coming even when there is tension already in Biafra land.

December 2015 witnessed bloodshed when High Court presided over by Justice Ademola granted Nnamdi Kanu unconditional release which was flouted by the Government. Immediately after the ruling; millions of Indigenous People of Biafra took to the street to jubilate the release of their leader only to be met with death. The military under the command of Muhammed Buhari opened fire on the jubilant crowed killing as many as possible.

In calling for calm no matter the outcome of the case; it is believed that IPOB is taking proactive measure to curb any form of casualty or military action. Prior to this ruling date; Muhammed Buhari launched a military operation tagged Python Dance, it remains strange why such operation is being carried out in the part of Biafra land UN declared the most peaceful place one can be.

There is however already fear that if Nnamdi Kanu is granted bail or denied bail that the people might react by either celebrating or registering their anger but IPOB has called on everyone to be calm. The message has widely been circulated and while the people hope to have their leader granted bail; a ruling on the contrary will pose no threat to their lives.
