Since the inception of the government of Muhammadu Buhari, Fulani herdsmen have been on rampage in what could be best described ‘This is our government’. The hostile Fulani tribe was rated the 4th most dangerous terrorist group last year; consequently, their unabated onslaught on the people of Biafra. Ranging from Agatu to Enugu, no state of Biafra was spared and neither has the government shown willingness to defend the people. Buhari has shown more seriously in securing oil than securing the lives of the people he claimed to be their president. The oil war has received enough attention, sponsorship and skill than the protection of human life. While Fulani herdsmen terrorists kill and maim; Buhari closes his eyes and open it on Biafra land in a relentless quest to conquer and lift their oil at the risk of their health and existence.
Chima Onyekachi and Ifeanyi Chijioke can authoritatively report that Uche Ogah who once reportedly pledged royalty to the government of Muhammadu Buhari to enable him win the just concluded legal battle is in the middle of another round of controversy. This time, he was accused of leasing out parcels of land to Fulani herdsmen for the purpose of grazing settlement. This move was made to please and foster a good relationship with the government of the day who is a core Fulani man. Though as at the time of writing this; Uche Ogah or any of his close aides could not be contacted to confirm the report. The report as contained said “Uche Ogah bought parcels of land at Ataba near pipeline in Nkporogwu- Ama Awu Acha and Fulani herdsmen terrorists have been grazing and attacking from there’.
The people of Biafra have been left with no option but to defend themselves as the government’s silence is only a go ahead order to the rampaging Fulani herdsmen terrorists. It has become normal news each time victims are attacked and devastatingly murdered; children behead and pregnant mothers heartlessly cut into two. The parcels of land left for Fulani herdsmen terrorist had become a hide-out for the terrorists and a form of shelter. One of the executives of Ama Awu Acha youths movement who spoke to Chima Onyekachi noted “The terrorists enter Acha from the land they now settle and destroying our farms and villages. We can’t farm again and neither can anybody go out because there is glowing fear of attack” the youth executive complained.
Some land owners or community heads had been accused of conspiracy; they often collect money and harbor the terrorists who would earlier pledge that nobody or community will be attacked but when they finally settle and sufficiently armed themselves; they would start their onslaughts and cannot be chased away again. Chima Onyekachi cannot confirm if Fulani herdsmen association has been paying Uche Ogah but there was confirmation that messages have been indirectly sent to him but he either declined or the message was not delivered as the case maybe.
The youths have warned that the reason for raising alarm is to make sure they are heard and Uche Ogah drives the terrorists away because Ama Awu Acha is under destruction, consequently, may be under famine. They have bitterly been leaving under fear and unable to farm, leaving the villagers in pains. Speaking to Chima Onyekachi, the youths noted that they would not remain silent while their village is under ruin and neither will they wait for inactive or supportive government to protect them. They noted that they will defend their lives and land should this looming attack occur.
