Enuguezike is a sacred town located at the Northern axis under Nsukka Enugu North sentorial district, Enugu province Biafraland. Enuguezike shares common boundaries with Benue state and Kogi state.
Enuguezike is comprises of 36 villages/communities.
From map setting, Inyi community shares common boundary with Benue state, from there down to Okpo , Umu -opu, and Isiugwu communities. While Umu-ogbo-Agu communities have Boundaries with Etteh people of Kogi state. From Umu-iyida to Unadu down to Aguibeje Communities all share common boundaries with Akpanya people of Kogi state.
It is of a common knowledge that the above mentioned states that shares common boundaries with this sacred town of Enuguezike Igbo-Eze north area of Biafraland has history of Fulani banditary menace, hence Enuguezike can be presumed to be prone to attack by Fulanis.
But despite sharing same border with these States there is no record on history that has recorded that any Community from this town has fallen in the hands of Fulani bandits.
Hence the town is regarded as one of the sacred town in Biafraland.
But there is what makes this town so unique in there tradition which it is assumed that it is the real secret of what makes this town to enjoy relative peace and safety from ages.
Enuguezike is the only town that all the communities that made up of the town celebrates annual festival in and around November of every year called (Okpa Uchee day ) which translates to annual Celebration of Neighborhood watch day .
Every communities in Enuguezike is cultured to group her young men for a mandatory neighborshood watch as a volunteer to keep watch in the Community at night against armed rubbery and other Criminalities or possible attack against the community in the night and to settle all type of village disputes and two fighting any time of day .
In which any disputes that ( Ndi Uchee) the niegbourhood watch were unable to settle will be referred to the palace of the elderst of the village or to the Igwe of the community for conflict resolution.
These niegbourhood watch are purely volunteers, they do not earn salary . But are being celebrated once in a year at every village square on and around November of every year .each village chooses a date suitable for them to celebrate (Okpa Uchee )after clearing of village roads which are collectively done .
They will be served Okpa that is regarded as the most favorite native food for ceremony and assorted palm wine drinks .
Therefore it necessary that any groups with genuine intentions for a better and secure Enuguezike Igbo-Eze north area must work in collaboration with these already structured security settings for a stronger intelligence and defense or better sponsor and equip them for better security of the community.
With above narratives of Enuguezike culture and how it had been helpful to keep the town safe out of external and internal attack .
It is illogical for some criminal minded individuals from thesame town Enuguezike to override the already security structure tradition of the whole town to now sponsor and armed some jobless youths of the community in the name of setting up a different security volunteers to safeguard the town while you are in abroad without any structure setting to control the boys you armed .
Whether this was done with good fate or not . It is condemnable because such thing cannot succeed it will always end up in failure and the end result is what good people of Enuguezike Igbo-Eze North area Enugu province Biafraland are suffering today.
There are Some diaspora Enuguezike Indigenes that I will not like to mention their names yet in this my column but have been confirmed after my thoroughly investigation that they are loyal to One criminal by name Simon Ekpa resident in Finland who is a native of far way Ngbo in Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi state Biafraland. These individuals collaborating with Simon Ekpa to arm Some Youths for their selfish Criminals venture in and around Enuguezike.
They indulge in all sorts of Criminalities kidnapping snatching of cars arsonists assailants etc, while fake themselves to be ESN and IPOB members but they are not .
One of the backbone of these criminals recide in Libya he operate 3 Mobile numbers all Forign numbers , with country code , U.S.A , Libya and Malaysia .
He uses same numbers to call some business men politicians and clergymen and threatens them to support their fake ESN or risk their properties burned to ashes an act that is against IPOB ESN modus of operandi . That is how dangerous these boys are and how desperate the Ebonyi born criminal who is based in Finland lure our Youths to criminalities to use same to blackmail ESN .
Youths that were not recruited into Eastern Security Network and do not take orders from ESN command goes about commit crime and claim to be ESN because one Ebonyi man told them to do so .
Investigation has shown that these hoodlums sponsored by Simon Ekpa loyalist that 95 percent of crime that are being committed in and around Enuguezike Igbo-Eze north area in recent time which includes the burning of the house of a member of the house of representatives representing Igbo-Eze North / Udenu federalfrom representative one Mr Atigwe , assaisination of two commanders of village Neighborhood one from Aji another from Ogbodo community all in Enuguezike while they disarm the niegbourhood watch of their den guns an
