Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has been held illegally by men of the Nigerian DSS after being manhandled in Kenya by the Kenya government, thereafter he was abducted by the Nigerian government from Kenya and renditioned back to Nigeria through what is normally referred to extra ordinary rendition in international law, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will for the second time be expected to appear in court on Thursday 21st of October, 2021. In the words of Barrister Chinelo Bob-Osamor who is a seasoned legal luminary based in London deposited that "Every accused person is presumed innocent until the contrary is proved". Consequently, they are guaranteed a fair trial, within a reasonable time, by a court of competent jurisdiction, as enshrined in the Constitution.

Although Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is presumed innocent until the contrary is obtained from a law court. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been detained without trial for months at the whims of the biased Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami. Biafra Reporters which to ask Abubakar Malami if the alleged evidence upon which he declared Mazi Nnamdi Kanu a fugitive and wanted no longer sufficient to try him in a law court?.

As a matter of urgency, let the prosecution bring the overwhelming evidence to court to buttress their stand rather than using and applying media trial on a case without prima facie. We demand that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu be given unfettered access to his lawyers to prepare for his trial, otherwise, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's continued detention will remain a travesty of justice.

That should be the focus now". The above analysis is the summary of the situation in Nigeria today. The Igbo elites who over the time has been calling for calm as they are on top of the matter to not only see the arraignment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in court but his consequent unconditional release.

The Igbo leaders reaction came after being battered by the masses who are solidly behind the 'Kanuism' theory of self determination. The people are looking up to the leaders to do everything their reach to see that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra is released on Thursday or risk Anambra State election not to hold and also the peace of the region and entire Nigeria.

Following the rumours of a possible design of failure to appear in court by the Federal side, the leadership of IPOB presently headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem, the Head of Directorate of State has reiterated the group readiness to embark on a one month sit at home if they fail to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday and this design will affect not only the Anambra planned November 6th governorship election but the peace of the region. The question on the lips of every Nigerian now is, are the South East leaders going to redeem their worth in Igbo land against the popular belief of their lilly livered and boyish attitude towards the regions plights?.

Is the federal government of Nigeria going to give peace a chance by letting free and subsequently negotiating with the leader of the most populous black movement on the surface of the planet earth?. Will Nigeria government understand and try to rectify the fact that they committed an International crime by kidnapping a foreign citizen on a foreign soil?. Will the Easterners be able to face the challenges that will follow the likely disobedience of a cease fire by the Nigerian state without Kanu being set free?.

These questions are begging for answers and the answers are soon coming to reality in four days time. Let's keep our hands crossed.
