Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has won the argument because Biafra emancipation is nothing but freedom and freedom is Biafra. What the Indigenous of Biafra leader, Mazi Nnamdi kanu, is agitating for is not different from what other freedom fighters that came before him fought for. Biafra nationalist leader asks only but immunity against external state obligation or duty. His demand is in line with armbit of law, sanction by the United Nations and Nigeria as a member of the organization is signatory to the treaty. IPOB, simply means Indigenous People of Biafra. Article 3 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples states: Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination. This guarantees the right to freely determine their political condition and the right to freely pursue their form of economic, social, and cultural development. What makes Nigeria not to abide by the treaty is heinous. On the other way round, UN’s complicity to sanction member state like Nigeria breaching its contract is questionable.
Maybe, the New World Order (NWO), pretending to be a conspiracy theory which hypothesizes a secretly emerging totalitarian world government is strictly practicing in Nigeria. No nation in the world is indivisible or unnegotiable, such garbage can only be heard in a third world countries such as Nigeria. United Nations must sit up to its responsibility unless the organization wants the world to believe that they consist of Islamic kitchen that annually organizes jamboree summits. Nigeria on her own should not shy away from the assigned agreements in both UN and AU, backing indigenous people’s right on self-determination. Self-determination is an inalienable right, it is not subject to forfeiture. Every human is born free, it is pertinent to live as a free person as human being than living in captivity. Living in bondage is barbaric and Nigeria is the modern day bondage. The same freedom all civilized nations around the are enjoying is what Mazi Nnamdi kanu is asking for, nothing more nothing else.
Besides, Nigeria was in 1914 lumped up together with divergent different nations as one country without common value system. No nation has ever survive it. Nigeria living together with Biafra is the same thing as US being amalgamated to live together with Afghanistan. How is it possible?. Nigeria was an experiment, by Fedrick Lugard, Lugard intended to venture into something new or different from the normally organically or consensus agreement by the people to form a state. The experiment or test failed woefully, dissolution of is the only best option left to save human lives. Due to inherit divergent philosophy by Fulani forefather Othman Dan Fodio, Nigeria is still cage with the mindset. Fulani superiority complex over other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria is the major problem facing her.
Sir Ahmadu Bello, a Fulani man inculcated similar ideology to his Fulani descendants. Fulani superiority now becomes a norm, he was quoted to have made a statement on October, 12th 1960 that; ''The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our grandfather, Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use the minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow their future.'' Fulani upholds this primordial statement jealously. Such statement can only be made in a barbaric dungeon. Sir Ahmadu Bello made the call and till date Fulani stands on it. Whatever that pleases Fulani becomes law, it does not matter whether it is outlawed or not.
Nigeria is not negotiable always comes from Fulani leaders, Fulani terrorism is negotiable whereas freedom is not negotiable. This simple dichotomy is making Nigeria unworkable. Nigeria is not powerful than the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics-USSR, to continue flouting the United Nations treaty. They disobey international law likewise, laws made by them in Nigeria. Their arrogance can make them to kidnap a foreign national in another man’s country and rendition the person to Nigeria with no respect to international law. Sequentially, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, judiciously follows guiding principles set up by international organizations on any emergent new nation.
Fulani is strict that Nigeria’s divisibility cannot be tampered against the collective aspirations of majority which is made up of indigenous population in Nigeria. Referendum, plebiscite or Electoral College to allow indigenous Biafrans to decide either to exist or to remain in Nigeria is the only thing IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi kanu aspires for. Only in Nigeria a call for referendum is a call for war. A person asking for peaceful dissolution is in the DSS secret dungeon while Fulani terrorists ravaging, pillaging, spilling human blood are being reintegrated into the society and granted amnesty by Fulani controlled Nigeria Presidency.
Though, Biafra struggle takes only time and lots of energy, commitment and sacrifices. be that as it may, the resoluteness by IPOB has conveyed a message to the world that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has superior political ideology over Nigeria. Biafra is an ideology that cannot be stopped with guns and bullets, it does not matter what anybody does. In terms of debate Nigeria won't see a light of the day because Kanu’s quest is freedom for Biafra. Perhaps, no competent court encompasses or will misconstrue freedom to treason or felony. The only political remedy that can solve the bothering issue ravaging Nigeria is through referendum not military might as being envisaged by the Fulani Presidency.
The Biafran people must be allowed to determine their fate, future and dream through the referendum process that they are demanding for. Frankly speaking, Nigeria lost the argument, force annexation is slavery. Citizenship is not by conquest rather by choice. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was born between the periods Biafra independent was declared, his birth certificate bears Biafra, minus that, let’s assume he has a Nigerian birth certificate, but later officially denounced his Nigeria citizenship at the court of law in 2015, it makes him non Nigerian. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a Biafran/British citizen both by birth and nationalization. Never for once or was it on record has he topple any government in power in Nigeria or plan a coup against the government which is what treason is all about, going further, charging him with treasonable felony means he committed no crime in Nigeria.
