Following the statement by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed on reason herdsmen would continue to carry AK-47, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Bifra, IPOB, called on the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) to take over from Amotekun.
Recall Bauchi Governor recently explained that herdsmen would continue to carry weapons because they need protection.
Reacting, Nnamdi Kanu took to his Twitter handle on Friday, to call on the OPC to take over from the Southwest Security Outfit, noting the latter has been politicalised.
He tweeted; "Amotekun has been politicalised. What a shame! How can Amotekun with Pump Action/Dane Gun engage the 4th most dangerous terror group in the world that has sophisticated weapons like AK-47? It’s time for an outfit with pedigree like Odua People’s Congress (OPC) to take over."
