Brussels: The Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday the 10th day of September 2019, honoured an invitation by some members of European Union to address them on issues bordering on his agitation for Biafra and what a free state of Biafra holds for Africa and indeed the world in general. Also in appearance is Kanu’s deputy, Mazi Uche Mefor, IPOB’s Head of Finance, Lady Nnennaya Anya, and some other top officials of IPOB.
A huge number of Biafrans stormed the EU headquarters at Brussels from across all Europe to witness the event and cheer their leaders. Coming out from the meeting with the EU members, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his deputy, Mazi Uche Mefor, fell into the waiting hands of Biafrans whose joy is better seen than expressed. Caught in the euphoria, the IPOB leader at once addressed the crowd, making mockery of Nigerian government. He said amidst smiles, “Every effort made by the Zoo to frustrate our coming here today, we have destroyed it completely.” The people cheered, happy that they have once again defeated Nigerian government’s shenanigans.
Speaking further, Kanu who was in high spirit said, “The same way we have gone into this very parliament to preach Biafra, so shall we go to Washington to preach Biafra.” As in the time of Moses when the people stamped every declaration from Moses’ mouth with “Amen”, the jubilant crowed echoed, “Isee.” The word “isee” is an Igbo equivalent of amen.
Recall that while in the US a couple of months ago, Nnamdi Kanu in a town-hall meeting with Biafrans in Huston proposed a one-million man march in Washington DC come July 1st, 2020, adding that it will hand him an instant invitation to the White House. Considering the gathering momentum of IPOB, it all seems a done deal.
Further expressing optimism, Kanu said to the happy crowd, “I can assure you that after this very place, the next place is the United Nations.” The high spirited crowd stamped his words with “isee.” This, it can be said with all certainty, is not a good development to the Nigerian state which has done all within its power to stall the Biafra freedom quest. Freedom, however, is a fundamental human right to which Biafrans are entitled.
