Biafra: [30th May]: Never Ever Shall We Forget The Ultimate Price They Paid For Our Freedom

By Comr. Onyegbula Solomon | The Biafra Post | May 03, 2019

The despicable story of the coordinated attacks and massacre of Biafrans in this contraption which I call crime against humanity (Nigeria), started way back in 1945. And since 1945 till date, the killings has gone unabated with the sole aim of eliminating a people whose only crime was to be blessed by Chukwu Okike Abiama. Reason for this killings so far is that Biafrans were wickedly yoked together in Nigeria by the British government imperialist - Lord Lugard to help continue the evil economic exploitation agenda that would at all times be in favour of the British ruling class .

The killings of the people of Biafra took a dramatic swift in 1966, 1967 - 1970; 1966 recorded the worst pogrom in the history of Africa which later snowballed into a full blown war in the year 1967 when the people of Biafra mandated Gen. Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu to declare Biafra for them and their safety, Gen. Emeka Ojukwu acted on his people's choice of a free and safe heaven where his peoples' blood will no longer be used to keep Nigeria as one. Yes Gen. Emeka Ojukwu did as demanded by his people, believing it will put a stop to the constant killings of the Biafra people in Nigeria.

On the 30th of May 1967, Biafra was birthed, however the Nigerian government led a military seige on her through the command of Yakubu Gowon who at then was a junior Army Officer illegally promoted to the rank of a General with the backing of UK, USSR, the Arab world and many African countries; embarked on an evil mission cum expedition in Biafra land to massacre the innocent people of Biafra.
Nevertheless, like a people determined to survive against all odds, like a people whose existence on earth were threatened, like a people whose lives were about to be cut short and off on earth; yet determined to survive and worship their Creator, like a people who have not hurt anyone yet visited with deaths where they are nursing their wounds, like a people determined to survive even in the hopeless of the situations, like wounded lions and lionesses, they stood to defend this land - Biafra, they stood to fight not for themselves but for generations unborn that they may have a place or land they can truly call their homeland as they have none till date.

For 3 years, our fathers fought with crude implements and weapons, our fathers fought an unprepared yet inevitable war, our women and mothers starved supporting their fathers and husbands in the battle field; innocent children were deliberately starved to death for a crime they know nothing about. Deaths became a necessity to stop suffering the flesh in Biafra because Biafra was heavily blockaded by land, air and sea, an embargo placed on the newly birthed Biafra by the evil Nigerian government, there was no foods, no standard health care centers, no hospitals of repute, dearth in medications and medical experts, no weapons and no proper medical attention. In a bid to survive, more than 3.5 million innocent souls lost their lives to war, starvation and diseases.

But very pathetic is the fact that as these evils were going on the world looked away, as we were being massacred and an entire race being erased from the face of the earth, the world looked on as if nothing of that margin happened, rather humanity failed the people of Biafra when humanity voided her human forms and supported the killings of innocent people. USSR, UK, Arab world etc furnished the Nigerian governments with deadly weapons to massacre us - Biafrans.

Yet, our Heroes and Heroines stood gallantly; though there were no weapons, though there were no foods, though there were no proper medical attention, they defended this land - Biafra and her generations to come. Truly they paid the ultimate price with their lives and blood defending us.

How shall we forget them and the ultimate price the paid for us to live!

15th of January every year is set aside by the Islamic Nigerian government to celebrate their murderous soldiers, yet no date is set aside to remember the 3.5 million Biafrans they killed in the history that disfigured the Nigerian configuration. This 3.5 million died during the genocidal war against the Biafran side. We are charged to mourn always those that died before and after the war.

It becomes paramount therefore that the Indigenous People of Biafra - IPOB, in other to remember her own and write her own history, seeing that the world and Nigeria is in evil conspiracy not remember that genocide of 1967-1970, have set aside 30th May of every year to remember those that died that they may live, those that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. On 30th May we shall remember the 3.5million Biafrans that died during the war.

On 30th May we shall remember those that felled to the bullets of the Zoo-Nigeria soldiers at head bridge Onitsha and at Nkpor, on 30th May those that felled at Igweocha and other areas shall be remembered. On 30th May those that died ail National High School Aba and those killed by the bullets of The Zoo-Nigeria soldiers in Umuahia on the 14th day of Sept. 2017 not forgetting those that died in various areas and times for the sake of Biafra shall be remembered.

On 30th May Chimaobi Okafor "waka waka" shall be remembered.

Our promise to you all is as long as we walketh upon this very earth, you shall be remembered and for the sake of your deaths we must fight to restore Biafra which you all died for. Never ever shall we forget the ultimate price you paid. We must get Biafra restored to put your spirits to happy rest. We are fearlessly marching towards the restoration of Biafra. Tarry a while we beg you all for we are almost there.
