The Indigenous People of Biafra should not despair for their freedom is at hand as the Nigeria government and its closest ally-Britain have been disoriented by the wisdom and ingenuity of the non-violence approach of IPOB in the clamor for the restoration of Biafra. The government of Muhammadu Buhari has tried every provocation for the people of Biafra to prematurely pick up arms against his government but has failed several times. Not that Biafrans are cowards but because they are better civilized and waiting for the right time to activate the right to self-defense as enshrined in the United Nations Charter. It will be foolish to go into battle again with the British-backed Nigeria government without sound and adequate preparation in place.

Call me a war monger if you wish but time has proven that the Nigeria government is occupied by barbarians who derives joy in killing and maiming innocent and defenseless people and the people of Biafra have suffered enough of that and it will only be foolish to watch while they are killed without defending themselves. The Nigeria government has failed in using the civil courts to frustrate the clamor for the restoration of Biafra and has chosen to go into full blown war with the people of Biafra.

Having being exposed severally to the international community and media by the people of Biafra, the Nigeria government has begun move to disrupt mobile communication and the internet. The plan to shut down mobile communication and the internet is specifically targeted for Biafra land. The Biafra media and people have continually debunked every falsehood and lie peddled by the Nigeria government via their agents in most Nigeria media platforms. The internet has been the best succor for the world to hear the atrocities been melted on Biafrans by the Nigeria government.

Recently, the governments of Cameroon and Togo both shut down the internet in specific regions in their respective country and it is obvious that Buhari will want to tow same path. Having failed to get access into specific Facebook, Twitter and Google accounts belonging to Biafrans for monitoring, he has been advised by the cabal to shut down mobile communication and the internet to enable them carry out more mass murder in the mission to assassinate IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA), an internet policy advocacy group published in its recent report that African government has accelerated the rate at which they request for user information, especially social media user information. The report based on transparency data provided by these tech companies confirmed that South Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya and Egypt have all consistently requested user information from Google, Facebook, and Twitter and from Africa-based mobile operators such as MTN and Orange. The report stated that Nigeria requested the most information than any other African government, asking for data on 119 Facebook user account. Also, Nigeria is third in requesting user information from Google after Kenya and South Africa.

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria is a known dictator right from his military stint after he forcefully took over power from a democratic government via a coup d’état in 1984 and immediately promulgated a draft into law which was called Decree No. 4 which was aimed at stifling freedom of speech and expression. The law was drafted to punish authors of false statements and reports that exposed the Buhari administration and or its officials to ridicule or contempt. His election as a democratic President in 2015 even after committing treason did not deter him from expressing his dictatorial traits as he secretly proposed a social media regulation bill prescribing a jail term and a fine of over three million naira (N3,000,000) for anyone “maliciously discrediting a public office holders”. The bill was withdrawn by the Senate only after intense public and social media criticism.

Shutting down the internet is clearly a sign of frustration and I am well aware that the Northern oligarchy are confused and in serious disarray on how to thwart the quest for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. The desperation to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu at Ubakala Junction in Umuahia, Abia State after the failure of the siege by the Nigeria Military on Sunday in his father’s compound in AfaraUkwu is an indication of a drowning cabal in the Nigeria government. These gang of murderers which incudes eastern politicians should have known by now that they are on a losing battle against the people of Biafra in the quest for the restoration of Biafra. The killings and abductions of Biafrans have not deterred them so also will the shutting of internet be crossed over by Biafrans with their focus on the independence of their ancestral home from the grips of British colonialism.

I welcome the press release by the Biafra National Guard led by Gen Innocent Orji for the activation of self defense as they move on in the quest for the restoration of Biafra. The international community continues to feign ignorance as Biafrans are been peaceful but are continually meted with extra judicial violence and death by the Nigeria security forces even with global human right watch dog, Amnesty International, confirming the heinous crimes. Biafra National Guard should not be called names when they begin full operation in the security of lives and properties of the people of Biafra. The era of when unarmed vibrant Biafran youths are rounded up arrested, molested and killed by the Nigeria security forces will surely be put to an end. Even Nnamdi Kanu will not be able to stop the people of Biafra from beginning to defend themselves against invaders who have come to take their lives, rape their women and loot their properties. Self-determination is an inalienable right and the call for referendum is never a call for war, the Nigeria government should be advised to act civilized.
