Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; waiting patiently for the prison officials to uncuff his handcuff in court

The reason the world has to be suspicious of any move from the trial Judge and anybody concerned with Nnamdi Kanu’s case is because of the level of interest in the matter. Muhammed Buhari has continued to meddle in the trial of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra. His interest came to the extent that he indirectly ordered the Nigerian Judiciary not to grant Nnamdi Kanu bail.

Prior to today’s Court case where the present trial Judge, Justice Binta Nyako will rule if masked witnesses will testify against Nnamdi Kanu; it took the Judge hours to come to the court at odd time. The accused had arrived and everybody was waiting for the trial to commence; only for her to arrive at late hour.

Recall that there have been reports of visits made by Muhammed Buhari through DSS contractors to the Judge to make sure the matter is influenced. One would not entirely be trivial to suspect she may have come late due to the immense pressure to unjustly try the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra.

Unlike her; she came late to the Court today and as being reported presently, the trial has commenced and hopefully, justice will be done which would alter every suspicions. Should the trial Judge okay secret trial; then it is very clear the Court has been influenced against Nnamdi Kanu. Secret trial is not part of the legal ethic of Commonwealth Countries which Nigeria is part of; common law forbids secret trial. Fair hearing is buttressed with open trial; where both parties feel safe.

Meanwhile; the heavy presence of security forces in the Court premises is something of great concern because Nigerian security forces are used to slaughtering the people of Biafra. The trial Judge has done poorly in curtailing the excessiveness of the security men who molest and clampdown on Journalists and spectators who they feel are in solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu.

The illegal acts of the policemen have not in any way affected the resolve of Biafrans who continued to come to the Court and cheer their leader. Speaking to a journalist a Biafran said ‘Arresting us with Nnamdi Kanu is the biggest gift one can give them and declared they are not afraid of murderous Nigerian security forces’
