BIAFRA: IF ONLY FEMI FANI-KAYODE WOULD SAY EVERYTHING

When I got the information that Fami Fani-Kayode met the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra at Kuje Prison; I was so happy, I anticipated that over the course of three hours Femi Fani-Kayode discussed with Nnamdi Kanu; he would keep up a chain-article that would last for one year. Three hours with the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra is much to learn or know more new things in life. I have been with Nnamdi Kanu (his radio live broadcast) I know what I learn each minute that passes and should I have the opportunity to discuss with him for three hours; I would challenge the likes of Aristotle and other great men. Each word that proceeds out of his mouth is wisdom and when explicitly assessed; you will find out it contains immeasurable knowledge.

Femi Fani-Kayode is a man of integrity and his fearlessness has made him a rare figure; when he was arrested and illegally imprisoned for months, I was one of those people that thought he would be silenced like others. Disappointedly, he kept his head high; fighting like a wolverine, all for his generation and the future of the people he feels deserve accountability. He looks like one that has not yet started; each arrest seems to open his mouth wider and fortify him for the battle ahead. By now Buhari must have been panting; thinking what else he would do to shut him up once and for all. Incarcerating him seems to be fuelling the whole thing and the second detention gave him a meeting with Nnamdi Kanu, another might make Trump invite him to the White House.

I have read with ease and interest the two articles written so far regarding his meeting with Nnamdi Kanu; I am very much aware that more is coming. By writing this very article to him at this time; he would be able to touch the areas I am longing to hear. The world deserves to know everything and how it happened; what the meeting was like and what was the conclusion of the meeting. The meeting has a start, a body and a conclusion; I am angling for what was discussed because Nnamdi Kanu dismantled a lot of things which must have put praises in Kayode’s mouth. I want to enjoy what he enjoyed; know what he knew and then praise Nnamdi Kanu in my own way as he is doing.

Femi Fani-Kayode was more conscious of praises; maybe he is still dumbfounded at the level of the wisdom possessed by Nnamdi Kanu. He wants to cherish him and eulogize him before now telling us why such rare praise is going to a man accused of treasonable felony. What exactly made Nnamdi Kanu, Azikiwe, Ojukwu and Nzeogwu rolled in one? I am curious to know and I know Femi must have taken that position because of how Nnamdi Kanu approached him, the debate that is enriched with wisdom and an argument that he has never seen in his life time. Something must have conjured up the imagery that posited Nnamdi Kanu as Ojukwu, Azikiwe and Nzeogwu rolled in one and that factor is what I long to know in details.

Nnamdi Kanu is a man that loves debate and Femi Fani-Kayode also love debate and at the end of their meeting; superior argument must have superseded to bring about resolution or agreement. There was an unconfirmed report that their debate was centered on restructure of Nigeria and sovereign State of Biafra. The two must have fought it out; with Femi Fani-Kayode arguing that restructure of Nigeria will be better than restoration of sovereign State of Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu arguing that restoration of Biafra will make a better future for all.

This is a huge argument from two leaders though their leadership varies; this is what Nigeria need and not shooting peaceful protesters and incarceration of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra. There is need to come to round table and talk, argue and then inferior argument gives way for the superior one. It is a huge waste of time and creation of enmity between Nigerians and Biafrans by illegally arresting the leader of Biafrans and flouting court orders that have released him.

Femi Fani-kayode must have heard how Hausa oligarchy connived with Britain at the detriment of poor Africans to create this contraption called Nigeria and enriching their selves. He must have heard how laziness is the reason for opposing Biafra restoration; they all want oil because they are afraid of hard work. He must have heard how Yorubas are the worst victims of one Nigeria and politicians taking everything. He must have heard a lot of things and which made him to openly confess that he would support Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra and those things are what I long to hear in his subsequent articles.
