Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; IPOB Leader
BIAFRA: ABUJA COURT UPDATE: ANOTHER WIND OF GENOCIDE AGAINST BIAFRANS BLOWING IN ABUJA

By Ifeanyi Chijioke
November 17, 2016

The Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra is set for hearing today; he had urged the court to hear his bail application. Biafrans have form the habit of continuously coming to the court on the day of any hearing regarding their leader to show solidarity.

Today being Thursday the 17th day of November seems to be unusual; while previously Biafrans and other spectators are freely allowed into the Court to witness the proceedings of the Court, the armed forces of Nigeria acted strangely today. They barricaded the Court premises and encumbered people from joining the Court session.

The previous trial Judge had ruled that there won’t be secret trial of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra but suddenly contradicted itself when he said that witnesses shall be veiled. Primarily; the previous trial Judge blatantly rejected the plea of the prosecution to stop the public from witnessing the Court proceedings. Up till this moment; the prosecution has not pleaded the new trial Judge to stop the public from witnessing the trial.

In the last court hearing; there was no case of barricading the public or heavy presence of armed police men. The people of Biafra have not been violent in their conduct but lawfully and peacefully shown solidarity any time their leader appears in the court.

Contrary to everything that had been observed for one year; today the bail application is to be heard seems to be tensed. With military APC and heavy presence of armed forces; the peaceful people of Biafra are already afraid of genocide against them. Genocide has been a regular thing against the people of Biafra; where Nigerian armed forces usually open fire against unarmed Biafrans.

Biafrans at Abuja Court
According to the latest reports coming from Abuja high court; the armed forces are already taking strategic positions to attack. While the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is ongoing; the people are fearlessly waiting in good conduct. It is expected that Nnamdi Kanu will be released on bail today.
