The political cabals in Nigeria are at it again, with their cries of deception in order to garner attention and empathy from the people. It is laughable that the likes of ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar, has left the mantra of “Change for Nigeria” to a hoax cry of “Restructure Nigeria”. Why is their false cry for restructuring Nigeria coming now? It is simply because the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, have exposed the rot and the true state of Nigeria since its amalgamation in 1914. I strongly oppose that view to restructuring Nigeria, let a referendum be allowed so the people will decide what they want.  The era of political jamborees, to decide the fate of the indigenous nations that were forcedly joined together to create Nigeria is no longer acceptable. It is a reality that most words of Nnamdi Kanu about Nigeria have come to pass. For how long will Britain and Fredrick Lugards’ experiment continue? The amalgamation treaty clearly stated that the contraption named ‘Nigeria’ by Lugard’s girlfriend, Flora Shaw, shall expire after 100 years from 1914. The political class must not be used as a tool of deception to suppress the voice of their people by the crude-oil sucking cabals. The Indigenous People of Biafra will resist every effort to suppress the voice of Biafrans.

What is left to restructure in Nigeria? Who are those that will restructure Nigeria? Same evil political cabals who have subjected the country to its brink? Can Atiku Abubakar start restructuring by opening up the Port Harcourt and Calabar seaports, bought from the Nigeria government by his private company, Intel's. Why are the seaports exclusively open to Aliko Dangote’s containers and a special arrangement by oil companies? This is an arrangement set up against Biafrans, by the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy in collaboration with their Yoruba cohorts, to frustrate the enterprising spirit of Biafrans doing businesses of importation and exportation.

The worst genocidist, former head of state Yakubu Gowon, has added his voice to the clamour for restructuring, saying there is nothing wrong with restricting the country provided it is done within one Nigeria context. Gowon also defended his acts of genocide against Biafrans in 1967-1970, claiming the map of Nigeria would have looked funny if the eastern region seceded. He said “if we had allowed the eastern region to go away, the map of Nigeria would have looked funny; it would have been titled one way.” He went further to boast he restructured Nigeria in 1967 by creating more states to stop eastern Nigeria from seceding. He spoke as thus “We had to do something to ensure the fear of their seceding did not exist; a serious issue of a part of the country wanting to breakaway when we already lost a part to Cameroon.” Is that why Gowon reneged on the “Aburi Accord” he voluntarily agreed and signed in January 1967, at a meeting attended by delegates of both the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Eastern delegates in Aburi, Accra Ghana? And who is responsible for the loss of part Nigeria to Cameroon? Was Bakassi Peninsula not given as a prize to Cameroon by Gowon for the assistance to frustrate and blockade Biafra?

It is very unfortunate that over 4 million innocent Biafrans were gruesomely murdered to enable the map of Nigeria not to look funny. Yakubu Gowon also claimed he restructured Nigeria by creating more states, but let it be known that he created Rivers state from the eastern region in order to propagate the divide and rule tactics learnt from the British government. The rest of the state he created in 1967 are; North Western, Kano and North-Central states. Others are, Benue-Plateau, Kwara, Western, Lagos, Mid-Western, Eastern-Central and East-Central states. Why is that those cabals who fought the war are still in charge of every policies governing the country with their archaic and retrogressive mentalities?

Even the creator of Nigeria, Fredrick Lugard, truthfully agreed that the amalgamation of the North and South is like mixing oil and water together, there will never be unity. Britain purposely created Nigeria to suit their desire for crude oil. Northern Nigeria have simply refused to co-habit peacefully with their neighbours, especially the Biafrans, because of their selfish religious belief, which is to conquer those who do not practice Islam. The Nigeria Constitution subtly gave impetus to their ambition by granting them authority for a Sharia Law, even while declaring the country a secular state. Will Nigeria restructure its membership of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC), by opting out as a member and from every coalition relating to Islam? Preachers are being beheaded by Muslim youth for preaching openly, Friday has been declared a no-worship day for Christians and Governors of northern states have made proclamation and laws to frustrate Christians from practising their faith. Why must we be forced to be together with those who believe that the lives of their cattle is more sacred to that of humans? What has happened to the reports of the National Sovereign Conference of 1977/78. 1989, 1994, 2006 and 2014? There are all in the dustbin of Aso Rock, because the Northern Oligarchy believes their grip on power will be limited.

How can Nigeria be restructured when there is no unity? Since independence from Britain in 1960, the blood of innocent Biafrans are been shed to appease the blood orgy of the Arewa people. Why must we be forced to be together when we have tried to live peacefully together for over a century but to no avail? How much more blood is required from Biafrans, for those screaming ‘restructure’ to be able to reason properly that Nigeria was never made to be created, if not for the wicked and selfish desire of Britain? Biafrans have openly shown their desire for unity even after the Biafra Genocide of 1966-1970, by leaving their ancestral home to live and invest whole heartedly in various places in Yoruba land and Arewa land. But at every provocation claimed to be against Prophet Muhammad, even in faraway Denmark, the homes and investments of Biafrans are targeted, their lives and means of livelihood been threatened and in most cases exterminated by the Hausa/Fulani people. The Yorubas are not left out, with their incessant increment of rents, levy and taxes on purpose against Biafrans sojourning in their land. The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, even threatened to drown Biafrans in the lagoon if they refused to vote for his preferred candidate for governor. Investments worth millions and more belonging to Biafrans are been bulldozed without adequate notice or compensation by state governors especially Lagos state.

The fact is that the nations that were forcedly amalgamated are totally different; culturally, religiously and politically. The Biafran way of life is different from that of the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba. Biafrans are Republicans in nature while the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba are monarchical. Our mode of dressing, food and cultural practices have no hint of resemblance to that of the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba people. Religiously, we are different and freely allowed the imposition of Christianity on our ancestors by the British missionaries unlike the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba people. The only basis for the call for the restructure of Nigeria is the taste and hunger to continue to explore the oil in Biafraland, with 90 percent of the oil blocs in Biafra belonging to the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba elites. This generation of Biafrans have come to restore their fatherland, and will not be forced like their ancestors to enter into a federalism with the neighbours they have nothing in common with, all we want is Biafra.
