Official Invitation Exposes the Difference Between Institutional IPOB and Self-Appointed Representation

Report reaching The Biafra Post from Catalunya indicates that the international event is witnessing a massive gathering of freedom movements, allied organizations, and human rights groups from across the world.
Among the officially invited participants is the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the institutional leadership of the Directorate of State (DOS), led by HODS Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem.
Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem is reportedly leading over 1,000 IPOB delegates to the event, where the movement is taking its rightful place among international freedom-fighting organizations and human rights institutions.
This is not a social-media invitation.
This is not a self-appointed delegation.
This is an official international engagement.
SOKOTO CAMP ALLEGEDLY EXPOSED AT THE DOOR
In a development now generating strong reactions online, a viral video reportedly shows an individual identified as being associated with the so-called Sokoto DOS camp attempting to gain access to the Catalunya gathering despite reportedly not being part of the officially invited IPOB delegation.
The individual was allegedly stopped and turned back.
The incident has now become a subject of online discussion, with observers questioning how individuals who claim to represent IPOB continue to appear at international platforms without the recognized institution’s invitation or authorization.
The message is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore:
International recognition cannot be manufactured by changing names, creating parallel offices, or issuing declarations from prison.
IPOB IS NOT A PERSONAL PROPERTY
The Catalunya development has once again exposed the widening gap between institutional IPOB under DOS leadership and those attempting to operate a parallel structure around an individual personality.
The Directorate of State under Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem has continued to build IPOB around institutional structures, global family coordination, official representation, and international diplomacy.
Meanwhile, the so-called Sokoto DOS has continued struggling to convince the world that a unilateral announcement can replace an established global institution.
It cannot.
THE JUNE 2026 PRONOUNCEMENT
Recall that in early June 2026, Nnamdi Kanu, through his lawyer, announced the alleged dissolution of the established Directorate of State and the creation of what became known as the Sokoto DOS, or “Fourth Administration,” reportedly headed by Elder Chris Nwogu.
That announcement was not carried out through the established IPOB institutional protocols or official communication channels.
The result was predictable.
The overwhelming majority of IPOB families worldwide continued their allegiance to the established DOS led by Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem.
The institutional leadership subsequently announced the suspension of Kanu’s office as leader of the movement, reinforcing the separation between the established organization and the newly declared parallel structure.
72 COUNTRIES, YET THE WORLD STILL KNOWS WHO IPOB IS
There were also reports that Kanu had written to more than 72 governments, including the United Nations Security Council, announcing changes to IPOB’s leadership.
But international events are now providing the clearest response.
While letters may be written, official invitations, recognized delegations, international participation, and institutional access are what demonstrate practical diplomatic legitimacy.
And in Catalunya, the established IPOB structure under Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem is visibly present, organized, and officially represented.
That reality speaks louder than any announcement.
THE DIPLOMATIC SCOREBOARD IS SPEAKING
The Catalunya event is another major diplomatic victory for the institutionalization of IPOB.
It shows that the global community is increasingly dealing with IPOB through its established structures rather than through unauthorized individuals or parallel camps.
The attempt by the Sokoto camp to continue presenting itself as IPOB may soon become more than a propaganda problem if it involves unauthorized representation, impersonation, or interference with official international engagements.
IPOB is not a costume that anyone can wear into an international event.
IPOB is an institution.
And the institution remains firmly represented by the Directorate of State under the leadership of HODS Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem.
