Less than four months ago, in June 2026, an alleged media operation was reportedly launched with a huge financial backing of over ₦100 million.
The alleged mission?
DISPLACE THE DOS.
The target was the Directorate of State under the leadership of Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem, the body that remains the legitimate leadership of IPOB.
The alleged strategy involved assembling about 100 social-media operatives, reportedly referred to as Kanu's “100 men.”
Their assignment was allegedly simple:
Attack DOS.
Discredit DOS.
Blackmail DOS officials.
Turn IPOB members against DOS.
And ultimately create enough confusion to make the existing IPOB leadership structure collapse.
---
💰 THEN CAME THE SUDDEN “UPGRADE”
But something else began attracting attention.
Some of the individuals associated with the alleged operation suddenly appeared to have undergone a remarkable media and personal presentation transformation.
People who were previously appearing casually on broadcasts — sometimes in ordinary, visibly used clothing — suddenly began appearing in expensive-looking Isiagu, suits and other formal outfits during their broadcasts.
The change was difficult to miss.
The wardrobe changed.
The broadcasting environment changed.
The equipment reportedly improved.
The media presentation became more sophisticated.
Some apartments were allegedly converted or upgraded for broadcasting purposes, while media gadgets and other equipment were reportedly supplied to selected operatives.
Some were allegedly placed on monthly stipends.
Others allegedly received one-off financial support.
The question naturally followed:
WHAT EXACTLY WAS FUNDING THIS SUDDEN MEDIA UPGRADE?
To be clear, wearing an Isiagu or a suit does not, by itself, prove that someone received Kanu's money.
But critics of the operation point to the timing and combination of the sudden wardrobe changes, improved broadcasting facilities, equipment and alleged financial arrangements as circumstantial evidence surrounding the alleged media operation.
And this is where the story becomes even more interesting.
---
🎯 THE INSTRUCTION WAS : MAKE DOS THE ENEMY
According to allegations surrounding the operation, an internal instruction was circulated directing the media campaign against DOS.
The message was reportedly clear:
DOS must remain the common enemy.
The attacks were allegedly expected to remain focused on the Directorate and its leadership.
At the time, some of those involved reportedly displayed enormous confidence that the campaign would succeed.
But four months later...
WHERE IS THE VICTORY?
---
💥 ₦100 MILLION LATER — DOS IS STILL STANDING
The alleged objective was to displace DOS.
It has not happened.
The alleged objective was to fracture IPOB.
It has not happened.
The alleged objective was to create a new centre of authority.
It has not happened.
Instead, the Directorate of State under Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem remains standing, while the global IPOB family continues to debate the competing narratives.
The media campaign produced plenty of noise.
But noise is not legitimacy.
---
🤦♂️ NOW THE MEDIA WARRIORS ARE FIGHTING THEMSELVES
And perhaps the most embarrassing part of the entire episode is what is happening inside the alleged media operation itself.
One participant, Mr. Young, also known as Master Prophet, recently announced his resignation and gave his reasons for leaving.
Then came another development.
The accusations started flying internally.
Elochukwu Ohagi, one of the individuals associated with the alleged media operation, has been accused by fellow media personalities of secretly aligning with the DOS.
And Ohagi has reportedly fired back at his accusers.
The screenshots attached to this report capture the flavour of the growing public confrontation.
In one screenshot, a post asks why Elochukwu is allegedly part of an “Ex DOS” group and questions why he is “pretending.”
In another, an account associated with Elochukwu Ohagi directly challenges Justice Ozobi, telling him that if he wants to fight Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he should come out openly rather than allegedly hiding behind others.
Read that again.
A campaign allegedly assembled to fight DOS is now producing accusations among its own participants about who is secretly aligned with DOS and who is secretly fighting Kanu.
---
😂 FROM “100 MEN” TO INTERNAL CONFUSION
This is the irony.
The alleged project was supposed to create a powerful media machine capable of overwhelming DOS.
Instead, the alleged machine is increasingly turning its weapons inward.
Accusation.
Counter-accusation.
Resignation.
Loyalty questions.
Public confrontation.
And now members of the same media ecosystem are questioning one another.
That is hardly what a victorious operation looks like.

🦅 TRUTH DOES NOT NEED ₦100 MILLION
You can buy cameras.
You can establish studios.
You can improve wardrobes.
You can pay social-media operatives.
You can manufacture online noise.
But you cannot simply purchase organisational legitimacy.
You cannot buy the confidence of an entire movement.
And you cannot destroy an established leadership structure merely by flooding Facebook with paid narratives.
The alleged ₦100 million media war was supposed to destroy DOS.
DOS survived.
The alleged media army was supposed to unite around one objective.
Now they are publicly accusing one another.
The campaign was supposed to create confusion inside IPOB.
Instead, the deepest confusion appears to be developing within the campaign itself.
That is the real lesson.
Money can amplify a message.
Money can buy equipment.
Money can change wardrobes.
But money cannot manufacture legitimacy.
And as far as IPOB's institutional leadership is concerned:
THE DIRECTORATE OF STATE UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MAZI CHIKADIBIA EDOZIEM REMAINS THE LEGITIMATE LEADERSHIP OF IPOB.
