BIAFRA: THERE IS SIGN OF VICTORY FOR BIAFRA

(While some people continue to rant and support the military invasion of a part of Biafra; they should find time to thank Nnamdi Kanu for his resilience via retaining peace. I personally wonder how long he would hold unto peace while they force war on him and murder his people. Gowon said he would defeat Biafra in three months and three years after, he couldn’t defeat Ojukwu. Buhari believes that he would defeat Nnamdi Kanu with his military in one week but it might not take two weeks for Nnamdi Kanu to defeat him. Biafra will be restored and this Buhari and his apologists must know; if peace proves impossible, violence will prove possible. Millions of Biafrans abroad will be the difference between now and 1967; they will win this war for those on the ground)
I have been grossly dispassionate when it comes to Biafra issue; this is because I believe that Biafra has superior argument.
‘THERE IS SIGN OF VICTORY FOR BIAFRA’ is not the caption I wanted to make of this column- I wanted to make a caption that says ‘JUST A SINGULAR COMMAND’. It is very clear that the reason Nnamdi Kanu is being hunted to death is because he has overcome or proven beyond reasonable doubt that Biafra deserves her sovereignty. The Nigerian political class is also aware that they have failed woefully; they had a space of fifty years to bury the carcass of Biafra- they had gruesomely murdered tender Biafra by 1970 but never believed in reincarnation; had they carried out rite of passage or transition, Biafra wouldn’t reincarnate today to hunting them. To kill Nnamdi Kanu or imprison him indefinitely is their last option.
I am not on the mind of Nnamdi Kanu; I don’t believe he would take the risk of showing up for arrest which would be a colossal damage to the future of a sovereign Biafra. The young man in question is a brave man but my friend- Barrister Efobi Ifeanyi from London had defined ‘foolhardy’- He said that a person with such bravery and courage like Nnamdi Kanu comes once in a generation and he considered the thought of losing such figure- He simply defined ‘foolhardy’ as a brave daring a situation (to allow his arrest) in which he knows he would not succeed because he is a brave person. He finally told me that losing Nnamdi Kanu to the murderous Nigerian military or being poisoned in the prison if arrested might affect the vision of Biafra when it regained sovereignty. He strongly urged Nnamdi Kanu not to show up or give himself to the Nigerian establishment for arrest.
Nnamdi Kanu is pondering his next move; IPOB has been declared a terrorist organization by the military against the declaration made by the judiciary that IPOB is lawful. The Southeastern governors have taken a further step by proscribing IPOB, they have even announced that arrest of anybody found with Biafra flag or insignia will commence. By this declaration; the Nigerian security forces have been indirectly ordered to shoot IPOB at sight. I wonder what one does with a terrorist if not to kill him and tell the tale. The Southeastern governors who believe that no-election order by IPOB targeted them now have the opportunity to combat IPOB with force or arm- terrorists. All these declarations are nothing but delusional act; IPOB will continue to wax stronger because the people are determined to restore the sovereign state of Biafra.
The government has failed to learn; past experiment worked for them and they want to keep acting without constraint. Yes o! They killed Sarowiwa and nothing happened; they killed Abiola and heaven did not fall, it took riots everywhere which was later calmed. Why won’t they try that option on Nnamdi Kanu? It is suffix to say that Nnamdi Kanu dead will be deadlier than Nnamdi Kanu alive; there is something that made Nnamdi Kanu’s situation unique, unlike Abiola who was a political figure, Nnamdi Kanu is an indigenous figure. Nnamdi Kanu has religious and generational undertone; nationhood quest, extremists in all ramification and unforgiving war victims in his control. There is nothing that would or can stop the destruction of Nigeria and restoration of Biafra in advent of Kanu’s death or indefinite imprisonment.
Nnamdi Kanu was attacked in his home; his home ransacked and his relations shot to death. On the social media platform, Nigerian government through her agents are ranting and commending the cowardice of their murderous soldiers. Some even chide him for escaping; they wanted him to stay and die because they feel Biafra can’t have another hero like him. The soldiers have even gone to say that they have declared Nnamdi Kanu wanted and all these are going on in democratic country. The law court granted him bail and the military declared him wanted. The court says he is lawful and the military says he is a terrorist; the last time we checked, we are not yet in a military dispensation.
I have tried to contact Nnamdi Kanu but to no avail; then I spoke with a top ranking IPOB member and I asked him what a ‘singular command can do’. Who is not aware that Nnamdi Kanu can order a second civil war? I need somebody to tell me that he is not aware that if Nnamdi Kanu says confront the military sent to murder us, that Biafrans will not confront them. Somebody should tell me that Nnamdi Kanu cannot arm the people of Biafra and the second civil war that would restore Biafra will kick start? It was shocking when I received a message from the top IPOB member that Nnamdi Kanu was still suing for peace.
If I had the opportunity to control the millions of people of Biafra I see troop out each state Nnamdi Kanu visited; I will not only urge them to defend their lives, I will order them to make sure that any python seen on Biafran soil is caught and used for pepper soup. The people of Biafra are scattered all over the world and can finance second civil war, which is a sign of victory. The people of Biafra can protest, lobby and internationally send down help in advent of war, that is sign of victory. The people of Biafra will not be blamed for self-defense having been declared terrorist, which is sign of victory. No nation has ever survived second civil war; that is a sign of victory. The situations that led to the first civil war have sufficiently repeated but Nnamdi Kanu chooses peace.
